Re: Introducing the Nintendo Switch

One thing I miss in video games over the last decade or so is that childlike excitement I would get for a new console or game. This is why I loved the original Wii so much. Like it or not, it somehow gave me a feeling of wonder and excitement that I had not felt since I got my first NES or SNES. I r...

Re: Pokemon Go - Getting lots of Attention

I kindof agree with Actraiser about the strangeness of a game being so commonplace... but this is very similar to the hype the Wii enjoyed at its release, and we endured that. ;) And I think the release of the Wii is an interesting comparison. Everyone else immediately played copycat with some kind ...

Re: I think that I figured out what the main "innovation" of the NX will be!

I was wondering something similar to this, and my big hangup was wondering what Nintendo could possibly do with that idea that couldn't be mostly imitated with just a phone and an app? i feel like, if they are going to make anything portable, it can't be just a tablet of some kind because that will ...

Re: Why does emulation garner so much hate?

I had a client in Oregon who was 78 and played Halo online for a few hours a day. And he was a very classy old guy, too. He wore golfing clothes alot because he spent alot if time golfing, he drove a classic Cadillac, he had a nice house with the usual old-person mix of antiques and fancy furniture....

Re: Why is Ocarina of Time on the 3DS so expensive????

Nintendo doesn't understand supply and demand. (Secretary at Nintendo hands a memo to the president of Nintendo in the middle of a huge quarterly meeting) "Hang on, gentlemen. Someone calling himself "Tron" says he wants to explain something called "supply and demand" to us...

Re: Why is Ocarina of Time on the 3DS so expensive????

I must be mistaken in my assumptions about Pikmin 3 then. I thought it sold so poorly that they quit production of it early and so prices immediately skyrocketed, which is why I have been anxiously awaiting some sucker to sell it for really cheap on Craigslist. Maybe it did better than I thought...

Re: Games so bad you have to shut it off

These days I'll literally lunge for the power button if a game does anything I detest because I can't waste my gaming time. But as a kid in the pre-NES and NES days, I truly believed that if a game wasn't fun, I either didn't understand how to play it, or it just wasn't my kind of game. I never cons...

Re: 2016/1/16: Xbox One: Rise of the Tomb Raider

I think making this game an Xbox Exclusive (for a year) was a bad move... It would have sold much better if it had released A ps4 copy... Doesn't that go without saying? I always assumed that Microsoft would have to pay a premium to the developer if they wanted a game to be an exclusive, otherwise ...
