Re: Movies You Like That No One Else Does

Phantom Menace. I remember laying my eyes on Star Wars Episode I Racer (N64) at this daycare I used to go to when I was five years old, and it alone convinced me to watch the movie. My parents of course made sure I watched A New Hope first, before buying PM for me on VHS. All this ultimately turned...

The Day Time Ended a.k.a Timewarp (1979) A Charles Band movie from when he was just starting out, before he founded Full Moon Productions, or Empire Productions even. Plot: A family moves into a new house in the desert & ... things start happening. Involving a time warp. Basically it's just an e...

Re: Can a game suck no matter how technically well-made it is?

I've read RandomTerrain's review, & I enjoyed E.T. the first time I played it. Just trying to figure out why it's generally poorly received, so I listed a few things I found frustrating which other reviews also found frustrating. I am afraid some reviews who bash on E.T. have a poor understandin...

Re: Best Buy Blues

So I get in line and there are only two people in front of me. But it still takes 10+ minutes because there's only one cashier! Adding insult to injury, when I look around I see literally dozens of blue-shirted employees just lounging around. I almost tossed the controller on a nearby shelf and wal...

Re: Can a game suck no matter how technically well-made it is?

Still, the replies I got on that post strongly disagreed with me, claiming that a darker version simply couldn't work. And this brings me back to a question that I have been asking to myself for a long time now: can a game do everything in its power to be good yet have a concept or other minor deta...

Re: Good Superman Game?

If I remember the old Adventures of Superman TV show well enough Superman only flew from location to location; if we stuck to that flying wouldn't be a major part of the game. It could have the clunkiest flying possible and still be worthwhile if it lets me accelerate around the Earth faster than li...

Re: Another reason to hate the digital age

I downloaded RealPlayer last week. Took about 40min.

Congratulations Activision! You're officially worse than RealNetworks! How does it feel? ;)

It's ok as long as it doesn't mess up my account or hurt forum functionality.

Re: Worst Game Titles?

It's poke-ay-mon. That's what the little line over the E means. Really? Shoot, see? Even after 15+ years I can't get it right. I don't think even the dubbing company got it right; if I remember correctly Ash usually said Poke-uh-mon. (Perhaps that was just the voice actress trying to sound like a b...

Re: Help! Game room ideas?

Very nice. If you made little tags with the history of each system this could be a museum display. The Pokemon Mini's larger than I expected. I would suggest getting more in-box GameBoy games & using those for a backdrop on the Nintendo shelf. Maybe put the VirtualBoy on it's stand, if it'll fit.
