Re: What is your Holy Grail?

An Atari 2000 would be nice. They were test marketed, I do believe, but only a handful have turned up.

Re: Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening (Game Boy)

Shameful admission time: I've never played a Zelda game. I want to, but haven't. And Nintendo's hit franchises hold their value really well; the carts are relatively expensive, so there's little chance I'll get a copy soon. Also, I still think of B est o f t he W eb whenever someone mentions BOTW. ....

Re: 747's Being Retired

Never thought much about the people inside fictional living machines. But now that you mention it... I find nothing creepy about people working inside the machines. As I said, I never thought of it before. But after thinking about it I still find nothing wrong with it. It just reminds me of Disney's...

The Atari Cosmos. I believe there are only 3 in existence, and one went for $20K. Just a cool backstory to the system. I'd forgotten about the Cosmos! How could I do that? That world be a great find; they apparent;y mad a few thousand of 'em, but never released them. People who saw them at a trade ...

Re: Beware of Cuphead physical, it is a code, not a disc!

If we simply refuse to buy these games publishers will say the physical releases don't sell. We need to buy them, then return them to send a signal that 1) we want physical releases of games, and 2) a download code does not count. Even better: call customer service and ask what happened to the disk....

Re: 747's Being Retired

Ah! But it didn't have to be that way. The earliest versions of the 747 had a lounge. They were designed to carry more people more comfortably than contemporary airliners. https://www.ausbt.com.au/the-fabulous-bars-lounges-and-restaurants-of-the-boeing-747 I wish they still ah a few like these. Re: Digital Lifespan

Indeed. Acetate film can suffer from vinegar syndrome. It shrinks, becomes brittle, and begins to smell like vinegar. Properly stored it can last about 100 years, from what I've heard. Nitrate film was worse; it could explode! Some have suggested man-made polymers might be a better choice for film s...
