100 point scales have one problem: they're already used by schools. I know when I see a 50% review score I don't think the game is average; I think the game is half-broken. Think of it like rating a car. You get a bunch of points for being basically 'car-like' - body, wheels, steering and braking, ...

The game needs 60, preferably 70 points before I begin to think it's average, since that's what schools use. Same problem with ...

Re: The Twilight Zone

Scotland- I've watched all the Ray Bradbury episodes. If my memory is correct I thougjt 1/3 of them were good & that maybe half of them just dang awful. They were bizarre, but not in an intriguing or creepy way. More like bizarre in the "what the heck was the point of that?" or "...

Re: Children's Games?

Cheesy? I like cheesy. I like The Monkees, the 60's version of Batman, and Irwin Allen's TV shows, and the Pokemon anime. I adore cheesy. Especially cheddar and mozzarella. Immature? You'll have to define that; I think of 7th graders using random curse words in every sentence. I don't like that. Thi...

Re: Pac-Man unlicensed for the NES?

In the mid-80's Namco bought a majority share of Atari's Games, which was the half of Atari which made arcade games. (The half which made computers & consoles was sold to the Tramiels; another division which was developing phones was sold to Motorolla, if memory serves.) This gave Namco a ready-...

Re: The Twilight Zone

"The Veil" is interesting; apparently it was never aired. Hal Roach (most famous for producing Laurel & Hardy shorts) turned his studio over to his son, Hal Roach Jr. Hal Roach Jr. tried to move into the television market; he produced a syndicated adaption of the comic strip "Blon...
