The King of Kong

i've sent the 'king of kong' trailer link to some of my friends, and they, like me, really want to see this movie. the trailer really sells the movie, and the last comment made by billy mitchell in the trailer is absolutely brilliant. the movie comes out august 17th and 24th in selected ...

LOL!

i haven't played the wii yet (still in search of the intellivision IV), but nintendo was brilliant in creating that system. they knew there was really no way that they could compete graphically with either PS3 or the 360, so they basically came up with a gimmick controller. and that c...

Hey

say what you will about this thread, but one thing that i'll give the critic credit for...he posted luke's comments on this matter in this thread, when he could have just deleted them, too. anywho, critic, luke, and all the rest, peace out...or war in, if you're into that kind of thing...

Nintendo 64 and Dreamcast system reviews

i owned a 64 back in the day, and overall i was quite disappointed with the system. i was in tokyo when the system first came out in japan, before the u.s. launch, and i remember being absolutely mesmerized with super mario 64, just like i was when i first saw 'donkey kong country' for the SNE...

7/19/2007: Atari 5200: Adventure II, Gyruss

good reviews, critic. adventure II looks quite interesting, and gyruss was a lot of fun to play in the arcade when i was a wee-little tyke. regarding the 5200, two things strike me:

1. atari supposedly did quite a bit of research for a successor to the 2600, and then just de...

top 5 classic arcade games
No, Space Lords was a late Atari arcade game, and it was an absolute blast. You could go two-player with a friend as your gunner, and you and your buddy could go up against another friend and his buddy (not that I ever had three friends all at once...) battling each ot...

top 5 classic arcade games
How classic are we talking here? I see most people stuck to Galaga generation games, but there are Street Fighter 2s and Mortal Kombats mixed in there. Mine would vary depending on whether or not those count as classic.
Classics I guess can refer to any games from the ...

Further proof that the world has gone insane

i remember seeing the handheld "atari cosmos" (made in 1981) being sold on ebay a couple of years ago for over 18,000 bucks. granted, only 5 are known to exist, but 18 grand is a hefty sum. as alienblue said, it's all about supply and demand.

Critic, you and your old sports games.
I hate sports. HATE 'em (except for womens' jello wrestling).
But I like the old OLD sports games for Atari, Odyssey2
and such.
