7/3/2007: Wii: Sonic and the Secret Rings

OK, I'm game. I'll guess the Critic gave the game the first "F-- to the double super infinity" in VGC history.

Personal Gaming History

For those of you keeping score at home:

2600 < Intellivision < Colecovision < SNES < Nintendo 64

Quite a meager history compared to others here. I didn't get an NES because after the whole 2600-INTV-Colecovision phase came crashing down, along with the arcades for a time, I ...

The King of Kong

I just finished watching the trailer, and for the first 30 seconds, I thought it was a joke. But judging from the trailer, it could be quite entertaining. And god, Billy Mitchell's hair was so feathered, I was waiting for him to fly away. God bless the psuedo-mullet.

Has the VGC gone soft?

critic, you still make the drill sergeant from the movie 'full metal jacket' seem like a mama's boy. and though your midsection is slightly marshmellowy, you still know when to slam a game. but if you cry the next time you hear a song by 'the carpenters', then seek counseling. i...

PS2: Weak!!!

[QUOTE=Alienblue]In the 8-bit and 16-bit days, computers were as fun or better than consoles. C=>64, Atari,Amiga, and my ADAM gave me lots of fun. But today they just get old so fast.

I have an old iMac with an old operating system, about 8 years old. My printer is going. A new printer wo...

Wither Frog Bog?

i think that football or bowling would be the best INTV sports cart (bowling is too a sport), for strategy, definitely 'utopia' with 'snafu' being second (if playing against another player), and my favorite action would be 'burgertime', and 'treasures of tarmin'. i haven't played 'thunder c...

6/6/2007: Atari 2600: Bugs Bunny, Golf, Revenge of the Beefsteak Tomatoes

Solid reviews, and it's good to see VGC going old school; it seems like it had been a while. I never played Revenge of the Beefsteak Tomatoes, but I remember reading a very positive review of it in a video game magazine when I was a kid. Golf is a simplistic but fun game, al...
