Maldita Castilla: Single-handedly refreshing my love for classic platformers, and making my Ouya cool...
How is the controller?  That's one of the things that made me hesitate a bit before buying an Ooya.  Can you use other Bluetooth controllers (PS3)?
The controller is definitely interesting. I have the earlier version which is only decent at best. I don't like the l...

Maldita Castilla: Single-handedly refreshing my love for classic platformers, and making my Ouya cool...

I don't know if any of you have played this game, which apparently is available on the Ouya and Windows, but it is absolutely amazing for classic gamers like many of us, and I absolutely insist that you find a way to play it.  I recently bought an Ouya almost exclusively for emulation, and whil...

Did this game deserve a "Mature" rating considering all those FBI agents trying to "steal your junk"?

So, did Titanfall earn its hype?

I did not lock this thread, but I would encourage the Moderator who did to maybe reword the original post to remove the "Flamebaiting", as I think this is actually an interesting topic that deserves a good discussion if it is initiated properly...

I got a Wii U

I don't really have any problems waiting for normal console updates with a brand new console, and calling it a "nightmare" seems a bit dramatic. What I hate is updates to a new game that keep me from playing for 20 minutes after I first put it in, when I only have 30 minutes allotted for gaming that...

I got a Wii U

That's weird. I just set up one for a client the other day and the updates took WAY less time than that. I know one of the early updates was almost exclusively for putting in a faster UI that didn't take so long to load up the main screen after using something else like the eShop and stuff like that...

What do developers have against complete button mapping flexibility?
It's more work to code in changeable buttons than to hard-code them into the engine, I think.
<br /><br />I don't know much about today's coding, but having a general understanding of it tells me that it would be an extremely minor issue compared to the larger scale of program...

What do developers have against complete button mapping flexibility?

Lately I have been getting really bugged by this, probably because it seems to be showing up more and more, and lately I notice it with 2D platformers released on consoles with four main buttons (like a PS3 or, in my most recent case, and OUYA), where the jump and shoot buttons are automatically map...

Xenoblade Chronicles (Wii)
Steer, do you comb through every thread, seeking out anything that is remotely anti-Nintendo? You've said, in the past, how little interest you have in Xenoblade, so why would you bother reading somebody's impression of it?
I was gonna post but this pretty much covers it....
