2012/9/23: Sega CD: Night Trap, Revengers of Vengeance

I'm pretty well versed in Sega CD games and I have never even heard of Revengers of Vengeance. It looks horrendous and will definitely not become a part of my library.

2012/9/11: Xbox 360: Madden NFL 13

I agree wholeheartedly. I checked out some gameplay videos of Madden 13 to see if it was worth picking up and it looks terrible. The only thing that I thought was cool was how good the commentators look while talking prior to the opening kickoff.

Why is it 8 years later and ju...

A couple sugestions...

For the old scores, maybe just keep the original score and review date which you can list near the game title for example:

Doom
Released 1995 by Nintendo
First Review: 7/21/1996 - Grade: F

2012/2/2: Super Nintendo: Combatribes, Doom

"Keep in mind that at the time, lots of people didn't have pcs at home, and the SNES was the console with the largest marketshare."

So what is the rationale for the Sega Genesis port of Duke Nukem 3D?

2011/12/15: Jaguar: Checkered Flag, Doom, Power Drive Rally

Each console version of Doom seems to have strengths and weaknesses. If you mixed certain versions together, it would probably make an incredible game.

For example, the graphics of the Jaguar version, the framerate of the 32x version, the (excellent) music of the 3DO version, and so on....

2011/10/18: Sega Master System: Afterburner, Line of Fire

Dave,

Track down an import copy of Afterburner II for the TG-16. It's a pretty good version and easily better than the Genesis edition.

While on topic, Afterburner 3 for the Sega CD is also pretty solid.

[QUOTE=Mr.Robert S.]
Just a personal opinion, you were a little generous with this one. I find that it was a little dissopointment (sic) in the control department, a little stiff. The graphics, are kind opf weird, the bonus items one solid color. And the place of the score ...

I don't know... take a look at the much more graphically capable C64 version (which I also play regularly). If the manual says it's a cat then a cat it is.

Still looks like Scooby-doo to me :-)

2011/8/5: Atari 2600: Pitfall, Pitfall II: Lost Caverns, River Raid II

Both Pitfall and Pitfall II are great games. I can definitely agree that PF gets monotonous after repeat plays for the simple fact that the stages do not change. If you are the kind of gamer who can only get through 8 or 10 screens, you are going to continue getting through only those 8 ...
