Re: Super Retrocade Review

Wow - I've had none of these problems! I even had my friends tried it out and they agreed.
There must be an issue with your HDMI cable or TV set??

Times the VGC steered you right... or wrong

Readers often thank me for bringing their attention to certain games. Then again, I'm sure people have bought games based on on my reviews that didn't pan out.

I'd like to hear any examples you have of these.

Playstation One: Jewel or long boxes?

I was glad when the original Playstation switched over from the long boxes to the jewel cases. They take up a lot less room. In the late 90's I traded my long box games for their jewel box versions when possible. But in recent years I've changed my tune. The long boxes are a lot more interesting. Re...

Re: Inverted camera controls?

Interesting topic. I always wondered why inverted has long been he standard control scheme. I guess it's because the early first-person games were flight simulators, so it made sense.

Now, when I play a game like Doom I don't really see the point of using inverted. Still, I can play either way.

Review word/phrase ideas

When you write 5000+ reviews it's hard to avoid using the same words over and over again. I try hard to avoid that. When I stumble upon a new word or funny phrase, I put it in a file called "words" for future reference. Hey - maybe I should post that list on my Patreon page. I was just edi...

Re: New snowboarding video games?

I did find a new snowboarding game on Amazon, but looks like a budget title: Mark McMorris Infinite Air (PS4)

No new winter olympic games except for a new version of Steep (don't get me started).

New snowboarding video games?

Just got finished watching Shaun White win the gold. My question is, where are the snowboarding games for the new systems? I enjoyed the Shaun White games for the Wii, but that was years ago. With the sport being so popular you'd think there would be a high profile new title. Is there even a new Win...

Re: 2018/1/9: Playstation: Polaris SnoCross, World's Scariest Police Chases

I tried the four-player mode of Polaris Snocross last night and it was a bust. You're forced to play from a first-person perspective, so you can't really perform tricks properly! I downgraded the game from a C+ to C.

Re: Super Retrocade Review

Just made a tweak to the review. Although the load/save feature is nice, an auto-load (or at least a prompt) would be nice. Otherwise you don't even know you have a save file until you try to load.
