Turrican (Turbografx-16)

This looks like another great shooter for the Turbografx, but having some problems with the first stage. There are several areas where rocks start raining from the sky for no particular reason. Since you can't shoot up, it seems like you're forced to take a lot of mandatory damage in these sections....

2018/2/10: Nintendo Switch: Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle

Another strong title for the Nintendo Switch.

New sorting feature

A while back my friend Brent complained that when he sorted the reviews by grade on a system index page, clicked on a game, and returned to the index, the games were back sorted by title. It's kind of a pain on the mobile site to keep resorting by grade. I fixed this so give it a try and let me know...

Re: VGC Members Awards

Funny topic! C64 Critic really does have a great sense of humor. His original reviews are a lot more extensive, and I actually have to chop off some of the humor just to get them down to manageable lengths. Maybe I should dig up some of the originals and post those.

Not that it helps, but I will give Price is Right the budget icon.

2018/2/6: Xbox 360: Fatal Inertia, Price Is Right Decades, The

Here are two bargain-priced Xbox 360 games you may want to avoid.

Lego Harry Potter Years 1-4 (Xbox 360)

I think this is my favorite Lego game. The detail in the environments is amazing - so much eye candy. Plus: magic! Make books fly, tables dance...
It probably helps that I've recently watched the movies on Blu Ray.

Re: Elwood Adams, Oldest Hardware Store in the U.S., Closes

That is sad, but frankly I'm surprised they lasted this long. In my area the big box hardware stores closed down all the mom-and-pop hardware stores decades ago.
