Re: The Best Console.

At first I was going to say my favorite (Genesis) but then I had to think about the BEST console. The Playstation 2. It's massive library, critically acclaimed staples, and insane coverage of all genres make it the best system ever made hands DOWN.

Re: The Rules of Galaga

I got booted out of an arcade once because of Galaga. Most of us discovered you can stop the enemies from firing. Problem is, the glitch takes forever to complete. The operator down at the local arcade called Blazing Flippers (such a great arcade that existed in Maryland) kicked me out because I jus...

Re: Monopoly (Sega Genesis)

What's weird to me is why people are always buying Park Place and Boardwalk. It's so rarely landed on. Reds are always the best properties. I can win entire games just with Red, Orange, and all of the railroads. The utilities are nice, but they rarely get landed upon. Light blue New-England properti...

Games everyone loves, but you don't see them as great.

What are some games everyone else is crazy for, but you just don't like all that much? I have a few right here. Super Mario Land (Gameboy, 1989) I first played this when my younger sister got a Gameboy for Christmas back in 1989. She had BEGGED for the damn thing. I played it, being a little excited...

Re: Garbage

Baltimore might as well be the rock n' roll capital. Everybody plays there. Never was a giant fan of Garbage, but I can admire their talent. I'm sorry, I just CAN'T STAND alternative, but I won't say that alternative is bad, it just isn't my cup of tea. Though if Rage got back together, expect me to...

Re: Monopoly (Sega Genesis)

Might have to give the Genesis Risk game a review as well. It's also well made, so long as you don't play the arcade mode. There's a big back catalog of interesting board game video games I've got that I can review, as well as a bunch of plug n' plays I've yet to get around to. Might as well get on ...

Monopoly (Sega Genesis)

This is a pretty damned good representation of the board game! For the 0.0003% of you who have NEVER played Monopoly, the goal is to bankrupt all of your opponents and come out on top. Along the way, you'll be beaten to death by rent, screwed over by taxes, have all of your investments TANK, be forc...

Re: Things in Video Games you Hate?

When playing God of War 2, for example, one second I'm absolutely OBLITERATING crap tons of enemies left and right, having the absolute time of my life, then not even 30 seconds later, BOOM, 3 minutes of unstoppable video. Why is this here? How about you let me CHOOSE to skip? If you are a story lov...

Re: Suggested Games for the Gamecube?

Wario World isn't terribly well known. It'll cost you more than the average no-name game for the system, but it's not highly sought after. However, I play it at least 2 times a year all the way through. I'd give it a shot.
