Re: Any Kix fans out there?

Rock your face off was a good surprise! I go see them once a year at M3. Always a great show.

Re: Kiosks

Playing games on a Kiosk back in the early 80's was awesome. Before the days of special made demo's. You got the full experience on the kiosk itself. Sure, games were simpler, but that was a good thing. You could see if it was simple fun you wanted at home. I remember playing the Intellivision versi...

Re: Most Worthless Console You have Ever Owned?

I'd give the award for most worthless console to the Lynx. Most of the games aren't very fun to play. Despite being really powerful, and producing gorgeous graphics and scaling, few of the games are worth playing.

Re: Happy 25th Gameboy

I noticed someone on craigslist had one up for sale. Dropped a good chunk on it. But it was too cool for me to pass up. I have mine with Quarth in it at all times. Literally the perfect kind of game to have in it.

Re: Another World

It was enjoyable at release, and definitely blew everyone away, but it played rather clunkily (is that even a word?). I don't think games like this really hit their potential until Flashback and Oddworld came around.

Re: Super Mario 64 N64 vs DS

The DS version controls fine if you were used to early 3D platformers on the PS1, before the dualshock. I give my vote for the DS version. Those cool mini-games as a timewaster, the additional characters, the extra stages, and the superior visuals give it a significant edge. The N64 game was SOLID, ...

Re: What do you want to see in the NX

If it uses cartridges I'd assume they're a tad larger than 3DS games. They won't want them fitting in DS and 3DS systems. And since flash memory is so damned cheap to produce, it's going to be quite AWESOME to see if they can fit 40gb+ games onto disks. Since it'd basically be an SSD used for games,...

Re: Castle of Illusion remake review

I know this is going to sound odd, but I torrented the PC version in response to this. I know, I know, piracy is wrong, but it's simply going into my digital software archive. I have an entire 4tb SSD that was purchased with the soul intent of preserving download only software. It's how I'll ensure ...
