Re: You know you're a retro gamer when

............When you eyeball games at thrift stores you already own.

...........When you have dozens of games you bought just to have, and haven't played them.

Re: retro bit generations multiple games

Yikes, don't even get me started. While you'll have a blast with the GameBoy games, and maybe an arcade game or two if you haven't played them, everything else is so poorly emulated it's ridiculous.

Re: Best decade for television?

I'd go with the 60's as well, followed by the 90's (where sitcoms were at their height). The 80's was pretty cool for talk shows, or "trash tv" (Morton Downy Jr. can be thanked for that, discovered him when he grilled Ron Paul).

I liked it even with the D-pad. If Sonic wasn't in the title, and the visuals were a little more interesting, I bet people would love it.

Re: Sonic Forces gameplay revealed

It's strange everyone seems to be looking forward to SonicMania because it just does what the 16-bit games did well. But conversely everyone seems down on Forces because it's doing what Colors and Generations did well ? Still feel expectation levels are unfair for Sonic games. The mainstream multi-...

Re: Handheld screens; above or between?

I don't particularly care myself either way. However, if I were designing handhelds, I would take into consideration that no system has ever won the handheld war with screen between buttons (Lynx, N-Gage, Gamegear, PSP, Vita, etc.) and the winner has always had buttons below (GB, GBC, DS, 3DS, etc....

Re: Movies You Like That No One Else Does

The original Tron. A lot of people think it's average at best but I love the film. Just saw it again last month and really enjoyed it. Hard to believe it was released 35 years ago. I saw that movie in theaters on opening day. Blew my mind with just how futuristic it looked. Nowadays though, it's so...

Re: Movie Tie in Game that are GOOD?

Toy Story is the golden example of how to make a game based on a movie. That game retained the films plot, while including GENIUS gameplay, clean graphics, good music, and crisp controls. I'm partial to the Genesis version myself, but the PC port is pretty decent. Avoid the SNES and Gameboy ports th...

Re: Games that justify the hardware purchase

I went out and purchased a PS1 for Ridge Racer, mainly due to me playing it in the arcades religiously prior to that.
