Re: SNES/Sega Genesis games with TurboGrafx-CD/PC Engine CD/Sega CD style intros/cutsscenes?

Another World and Flashback have fully animated cutscenes all the way through. They're Amiga ports, and that kind of thing was huge on the Amiga, going back to Cinemaware's games of the mid- and late '80s.

Isn't Blu Ray a standard??

It probably has something to do with copy protection.

Re: What I would have done with the Switch if I were Nintendo

I always bring up the point that if fans/owners of the NES had that mindset, the Sega Master System would have thrived, games like Mega Man, Castlevania, Contra, TMNT 2 & 3, Ninja Gaiden, Final Fantasy, and Dragon Warrior would have been Sega properties. How could that mindset have changed Nint...

Re: Why won't the DVD die?

This is actually pretty disheartening to me. I don't know anyone who still doesn't have a flatscreen TV, but people are apparently still buying their movies in a format that looks like blurry garbage on flatscreens. Why go to the trouble of buying a decent TV if you're just going to waste it? Why sp...

Re: 2017/3/5: Nintendo 64: Top Gear Rally, Carmageddon 64

Yeah, the original PC Carmageddon is a pretty decent game. The N64 port is a hideous joke. At last an F- game for the N64! I had to check to make sure that Superman wasn't already. Nope, just a plain F. I have to wonder what redeemed it from that extra minus; it's one of the most obviously incomplet...

Really love Brother Thelonious Bottled Bebop and Old Rasputin, both from North Coast. Very different beers good for different moods.

Re: Alien Trilogy PS1 or Saturn

They're both very similar, but the Saturn version has worse FMV quality, less smooth draw-in, and more saturated colors. It also has dithered glass instead of transparent.

Re: Bill Paxton

Sorry (to Bill!) for the late reply, but I didn't see that there was a thread here.

He's fun in Aliens, but I really loved him in Apollo 13. Horrible shame that he's gone.

Re: Worst Movies of 2016!

Why are you so angry about these movies, Sonicx9? Why are you still angry about them in 2017? Batman v. Superman is awful (as far as I know), but you don't have to care. I love Zoolander , but when I heard that the sequel was bad, I didn't buy a ticket and didn't give a crap. The mere existence of a...

It has a lot of elements reworked from Sunman and is basically the closest that game got to an actual release.
