Re: should i get the NINTENDO switch or not ?

I would wait until the console has a good selection of games. And I wouldn't buy a Nintendo console close to launch anyway - this company has the tendency to screw over their early adopters with massive game droughts, price cuts and delays. Nintendo has outlined a release plan for 2017 but we'll see...

Re: WiiU as modern Atari 7800

I don't know if it's the 7800 or the Dreamcast, but I certainly feel the WiiU was a victim of perception, and wasn't able to shake off the bad reputation it got upon release even when great games were coming out at a steady pace. I think, between late 2014 and late 2015, the WiiU had one of the best...

Re: So I finally purchased a Wii U. . .

Good job on buying the WiiU - for the price of one new console you got a console with the 6 games you wanted. Some people may argue that the Switch will be better in the long run, and it probably will, but it will take at least a couple of years before it builds a solid library of games. Had you bou...

Re: Zelda BoW Cancelled for WiiU (Rumor)

I do worry just a bit about it being a digital exclusive though. Sales will not be strong for this. Here's some numbers to give an idea on what this will likely move on the Wii U. - Twilight Princes s (GameCube): 1.32 million (On a system with an install base that was 9 million units larger and wit...

Re: Nintendo Switch: Boom or Bust?

I was really into the new machine when they first unveiled it in October, but with each news I felt it was becoming less and less appealing. I'm not going to pick it up in the near future because I have a WiiU and a few games for that console that I still want to focus on. Besides, I don't think the...

Re: Super Mario Run (Mobile - Yes Mobile)

Then again, if they can generate revenue by appealing to the casual crowd, maybe Nintendo can use that money on their flagship systems. Kind of like the Pokemon Go game. If it keeps Nintendo above water, I'm all for it. yes exactly. I hope it generates revenue - so they'll stop squeezing every cent...

Re: Super Mario Run (Mobile - Yes Mobile)

I think I've seen Mario in any shape and form by now. Of course on Nintendo platforms, but I've seen it on arcade games, bad educational PC games, CD-i games, pinball machines, pachinko slots, portable LCD devices...I also saw it on kid's backpacks, keychains, notebooks, plushes, shirts, wallets, ev...

Re: Things in Video Games you Hate?

I'm playing the Strider remake recently and another minor thing came to my mind. Everytime you reach a save point, you have to stand on a plaque and "press X to restore your health". Why do you have to ask?! Just restore it automatically. Is there anyone who would say "No thanks, I do...

Re: Is Nutella The Greatest Thing Ever Invented?

This has been a staple here in Italy since the mid-60s, so it's curious it's gaining popularity in the US only recently. The best way to eat it is still like it's shown on the label - spread it on top of a thick slice of white bread, open faced - full stop. My theory is that it would work really wel...

Re: Things in Video Games you Hate?

I second the general hate towards tutorials, especially unskippable ones, but what would a better alternative be?! Modern games have a ton of different buttons and mechanics to memorize... Personally I would love videogame manuals to make a comeback. I've always been a "play the game first, rea...
