Re: Confess Your Unpopular Video Game Opinions

Favorite Zelda game is Zelda II, favorite Castlevania game is Simon's Quest, favorite Sonic games are Sonic Adventure and Sonic Heroes, favorite beat-em-up to this day is arcade Double Dragon (above the Final Fight and Streets of Rage series'). I also enjoyed both Friday the 13th and Robin Hood Prin...

Re: Free domain movies

Love those big box collections of public domain movies. Funny how Night of the Living Dead (original) and Jack Nicholson's version of Little Shop of Horrors are public domain and can be released by anyone without a license.

Re: 2016/9/6: Playstation 2: NCAA GameBreaker 2001, NCAA GameBreaker 2003, NCAA GameBreaker 2004

Good reviews, though I honestly preferred NCAA 2K3 from Sega, based off the NFL 2K engine. 989's college efforts were enjoyable, though!

Re: Number Muchers (Apple II)

The Troggles made for an interesting game. There were three or four species of them, right? A slow one which moved randomly and wouldn't necessarily chase you, a medium speed one that would chase you and a fast one that would also pursue you. I recall that as they moved over the numbers, depending o...

Re: Monopoly (Sega Genesis)

Both GameBoy versions (black/white and Color) are hella good fun. I assume they are based off of the NES game. I'd recommend those in a heartbeat. The only flaw with those is that it is too darn easy to exploit the game's AI. For one, the computer opponent will never mortgage its own properties to h...

Re: Best game magazine?? (that still exists)

EGM still exists, though I am not sure how reliable their publishing schedule is. Some newsstands carry it but you might be best off subscribing. Gamepro is long gone, as is Nintendo Power. Game Informer is all right. Plenty of game previews, long-winded game reviews and at least one to two interest...

Re: No More Coming Attractions

I found that about half of them would be reviewed right away and the other half would be reviewed several weeks later or not at all

Re: Top 5 Genesis Games

Ones I played the most were:

World Series Baseball
NHL 95
Sonic 1
Mortal Kombat
Altered Beast

Hardly an inspiring list I know, since all of those games except Altered had better sequels (or a better previous game in the case of NHL 95, as most people considered NHL 94 the best).

Re: Why wasn't Mario 64 a pack-in game?

In later times, the N64 used Donkey Kong as a pack-in game and another bundle had one of the Pokemon titles (Snap?). Playstation 1 did eventually have at least a couple different bundles, one with Battle Arena Tohshinden and the other with Ridge Racer. I assume Nintendo figured that Mario 64 was too...
