Bloodborne: From Soft does it again

From Software's action RPGs are a little like Grand Theft Auto. From humble origins (King's Field, GTA I&II), it saw a breakout hit that revolutionized a genre (Demon's Souls, GTA III) and somehow managed to recreate that success again and again, reaching greater heights of success with each ite...

The Evil Within (360)

Vexer, what difficulty did you play on? I found that EW was a game that very much <em>discourages </em>a run-and-gun approach, for the simple reason that you'll run out of ammo early and often. Even regular enemies on Survival and Nightmare will eat an entire clip from a pistol before even...

Boring Game Magazine Covers
I personally can't stand Polygon, as a lot of their reviews are downright cringe worthy(their negative review on Bayonetta 2 is particularly painful to read) and too many of their articles feel like click bait(how many articles do we need on how "Hatred" the game is disturbing?)
...

Boring Game Magazine Covers

Yeah, I really miss old game magazines myself. They're few and far between these days as all of the print industry is crumbling. On the upside, gaming websites are really good these days! Polygon.com is a go-to for me.

PS4 vs WiiU
Thanks for your input, guys!  I think I'm going to go with the PS4 because... seriously, I'm drooling over Final Fantasy XV.
I think you made the right choice. The PS4 has a long, long life ahead of it and the free games every month are a huge plus.

The Evil Within (360)

So, I just finally finished The Evil Within after playing it in spurts over the past few months.<br /><br />Again, as before, I have mixed feelings. One of the most interesting (albeit nonsensical) mechanics in the game is dropping matches to burn fallen enemies and, depending on proximity, nearby l...
To get this to work on the VGA input of your tv you'll need a converter. A guy on Atariage recommended this one:<br /><br />http://www.ambery.com/rgbcgatovgac.html<br /><br />A guy was making RGB/S-Video cables on there a while back. I bought one, so now just need this box.. I'll prob...

Digital games you think the Critic would enjoy
I was all about the Streets of Rage Remake, but I can't get it to work on my Xbox.  I downloaded the zip file, unzipped in the contents on a blank DVD and burned it.  But my Xbox says it won't recognize the disc.<br /><br />From searching around it appears you need a...

Jaguar CatBox?

Even if the connector did fit, the signal from the jag would be analog RGB. A modern TV would be incapable of receiving this signal. You'd need an old Amiga or Atari monitor.
