Re: NHL '94 (SNES)

Have to respectfully disagree with you on that one. While NHL '94 is a fine game, to me, the definitive hockey game of the 16 bit era will always be NHL '96 for the Sega Genesis, as it improved and perfected upon everything that was good about the previous versions of the NHL series put out by EA Sp...

To me, it looks an awful lot like the standard controller for an X Box 360. Albeit with the old Atari black and orange color scheme.

Re: Strange Hacks of Well Known Games

Here's a hack of Castlevania that I've been playing. It's called "Castlevania: Bloody Adventures". Aside from your character having a blood red hue, the main difference between this one and the original is that this hack is a heck of a lot easier. You get more power ups, more health refill...

Re: Nintendo Labo

It seems like a really cool idea. But I just gotta wonder why they decided to build it with cardboard instead of something a little more durable. I just don't think that it'll hold up well after heavy use.

Re: Atari Box update

https://www.theregister.co.uk/2018/03/09/the_ataribox_lives/ Here we go again. Just when I thought it was dead, someone announces that a prototype will appear at the GDC. That's a pretty slick looking design, though. And if the Atari Box does indeed get released at some point in time, I hope that t...

Strange Hacks of Well Known Games

Hi. Check out this really strange hack of Ms. Pac-Man I happened to stumble upon while perusing this website. It pretty much plays the same as the original, though instead of ghosts chasing you, there are firemen with hoses instead. https://archive.org/details/arcade_msheartb Also be sure to read th...

Re: 1977 Game System Reviews

I think the thing that I got the biggest kick out of was not the fact that a magazine like Popular Mechanics had an article in this particular issue that reviewed video game consoles. It was looking at all the old ads for cigarettes, alcohol, television sets, and of course, ads and articles with all...

Jewel cases all the way for me. Just because they're easier to store.
