Re: Pick only one console per generation.

Easy rule of thumb: if an add-on contributes a new CPU (used for something other than pure I/O control), it's a separate platform. If it doesn't, it's just a peripheral for the base system. That makes the Sega CD and 32X systems that should be considered separately from their host platforms, wherea...

Re: Pick only one console per generation.

4th Generation: Sega CD. Plays every Genesis game, and it's own library of exclusives, at least 20% of which aren't horrible GIFs of bad actors blown up to pixels the size of bricks. But I'll miss Super Metroid. Wasn't the Sega CD more of an attachment than an actual console? You needed to purchase...

Re: Pick only one console per generation.

Here are my selections if I had to pick one console per generation. Some of the choices were incredibly hard for me but I ended up selecting the ones I'd personally spent the most time with: 1st: Atari Stunt Cycle 2nd: Atari 2600 3rd: NES 4th: Sega Genesis 5th: Playstation 6th: Dreamcast 7th: Xbox 3...

Re: Atari Box update

How is somebody supposed to play modern type games with only one button? Maybe a resurgence of "point-and-click" adventures? I think the Ataribox supposedly has USB ports for it's controller inputs so I'd imagine it could take advantage of controllers with more buttons. I think we s...

Re: Best snow levels?

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turles II: The Arcade Game on the NES. Pretty sure the snow level was not in the arcade original and was added for the NES port. Loved it!

Re: North and South

I absolutely LOVE North and South on the NES. I had no clue that there was a recent remake. Looking at the reviews on Steam it seams it's a bit lacking and took quite a thrashing from fans of the original. I'm debating waiting for this latest version to go on sale before throwing money at it or buyi...

Re: A game I can "sink my teeth into"

I'm going to second the suggestion of Red Dead Redemption. I sank so much time into this game and there was so much there to come back to. Absolutely fantastic choice

Re: Wrestling Game Reviews by Rockofhysteria

Completely agree with your review of Tecmo World Wrestling. I used to rent that one from the local grocery store almost every week (the good old days...). What a great game! I second the suggestion to review Fire Pro Wrestling games. Fair warning to those that have not tried them but they do have a ...

Re: Red Tails.

I saw Red Tails in the theater. While i wouldn't call it a great movie I wouldn't call it a "turkey". The movie was enjoyable enough that I didn't regret seeing it (or spending my money on tickets) so there is that. I'd watch it again. I think your hatred from the film comes from you preco...
