Re: Super Mario Odyssey

So if I don't have a Switch and am on the fence how does this game effect my decision to get one? Keep in mind that I do enjoy Mario games (2d/3d). Thoughts?

Re: Super Mario Odyssey

Is there any challenge to this game? I have read that it is impossible to get a "game over" screen. The one thing I love about Mario games (at least the NES era ones) is that there is a sense of challenge and accomplishment. However, it seems like this game is just about exploration and fi...

Re: Super Mario Odyssey

ProJared seems to be the only one that has given it an "honest" review. Otherwise everybody else is naming it the greatest game of all time. This game is the reason I want to pick up a Switch and I probably will still do so. However, it sounds like the game is more about exploration then i...

Re: Blade Runner 2049

Ya this movie was way too long and takes forever to get moving. I did enjoy it but I agree with the VGC, could have used an editor. Also, could have used a bit more action. All in all I would rate it a "C".

Re: C64 mini

No Lode Runner, no Blue Max, no M.U.L.E.? I think list of games for C64 mini is pretty disappointing. Despite load times, C-64 & Atari 800XL users from back in the day loved using 64k capabilities to play The Ultimas, Seven Cities of Gold, Return of Hercules, or the early Castle Wolfensteins. G...

Re: The Games of Autumn

I'm always tempted to give Faxanadu a try because I remember there being alot of buzz about it back in the day, but I have a hard time getting going early on. I have been playing this game on my NES Classic. I enjoy it but to be honest I need help from a gamefaq guide to move things along. It's not...

Re: C64 - Happy 35th Birthday to the Commodore 64

The problem with a C-64 flashback is that you would need a keyboard. Not really. Most C64 games used joystick control. You could not possible be more wrong with your statement. Most games had a keyboard overlay that allowed quick reference to the keyboard commands. True that many games were joystic...

Re: C64 - Happy 35th Birthday to the Commodore 64

Making 'backup' copies of games was commonplace. In part, we justified it by being burned year after year, investing your meager dollars for an expensive cartridge game that just wasn't much fun. I don't remember too many 'try it out' display booths, and there was no Gamestop to trade or buy used, ...

Re: C64 - Happy 35th Birthday to the Commodore 64

The C-64 is my favorite system of all time. I have so many fond memories playing this system when I was a kid. My and my buds would spend hours playing Summer Games, Micro League Baseball, Crusade In Europe, Gunship and just about any other game made by Micropose. I sold my system along with my hund...
