Future of Consoles
Scotland, you may say it's three but if feels like one. There is no variety.
Thanks for the nice discussion, and I understand you, and Logan and the rest. Since the Dreamcast, the industry has settled in, and over time, the distinction with PC gaming has le...

Mobile Site Readability?

The mobile is abridged, such as no news, reader vote statistics, coming attractions, etc compared to the 'full site'. That's not a bad thing. There is a lot of scrolling and walls of text if you are browsing the reviews.

One difference is that there are no decade gr...

2015/2/19: Wii U: NES Remix
It sounds like a good review, but apparently you have 13 readers who disagree. I'd like to hear what they have to say about it, because from what you said there doesn't seem to be much for people to like.
Yes. Let's hear the rebuttal arguments from t...

What if Atari's Pac-Man was better?
Other than typing up your homework and making pie charts I don't really know what people did with home computers other than play video games before the internet.
Gee Brain, what do you want to do with the computer tonight?
Same thing we do ...

What if Atari's Pac-Man was better?

As a youth, my experience was very much like yours. I had a console at home, I played and programmed on an Apple IIe in school, and then moved to a C64 around the same time frame of 1983 (with a datasette at first). Since my gaming was transitioning, I did not feel the...

2015/2/17: Odyssey 2: Death Race

Thanks for the review of the Odyssey homebrew Dave.

Its a fair grade and review. You sure do get stuck a lot in those crosses, and its fun to hunt down 'gremlins' when they come out of the safe zone and you zig zag at them!

Th...

What if Atari's Pac-Man was better?
I know when I played PAC MAN on the 2600 when I was 5-6 years old back in the day I didn't think it was some let down and I clearly remember the arcade version. Nobody else I knew hated it either, then or every few years when I would crack out my old system and play. I loved ...
