Re: I feel the GameCube is vastly overrated.

Great points from everyone. For me it is dependability. My GameCube still does what I ask of it. Picked up several old Playstation II systems over the years that maybe only could play a PS I game and not a PS II or they just do not play at all. Reading thru old gaming magazines there were products f...

Re: 2017/5/14: Sega 32X: Afterburner

I have After Burner for the Sega Master, Nes, 32X and After Burner II for the Genesis. The 32X is my favorite. I used to add games to my collection for the sake of adding games to my collection. Then stumbled across this site. The Video Game Critic acquires a game and does the research. Then I find ...

Re: Does modern art annoy anyone else?

Old saying from my days goes like this " One persons junk. Is another persons treasure." Sometimes beauty is in the eye of the beholder. We all share different perspectives or views on everything. Thankfully, it is what makes us creative and different. I do not understand modern art, alter...

Re: 2016/2/7: Commodore 64: Blue Max, Raid on Bungeling Bay

Remember both games well. The Raid on Bungeling Bay box art looks like the overseas version. If so tape decks were more common in the U.K. which would explain the fast load tape wording. Used a tape deck for my Commodore Vic-20 but always used a disk drive for the C64. Wondered about the Nintendo ve...

Re: The Pac-Man World Trilogy

Looks like a fun game that helped introduce a new generation to the World of Pac-Man. Lot of good Pac-Man games of the years. Thanks for sharing.

Re: Burning Super CD games

Rom sites remind me of back alleys. Go at your own peril. Sorry not a rare game in my book. Years ago a friend and I burned a copy of Bonk 3 on CD. Just to try out on an emulator, PC "Magic" Engine. It played fine. Used Nero at the time. Figuring that Sega and regular Turbo CDs are c...

Re: Sanford and Son (Odyssey 2)

It was a great review. Would be cool see a game like Fast Food except Fred collects junk. The purple pickles, I think they were pickles, could be pictures of Aunt Esther. Being on the Odyssey 2 a hack of K.C. Munchkin maybe. Fred collecting junk and Aunt Esther and her hen party chasing him to clean...

Re: Odyssey 2 Voice Unit Variants?

That is interesting. Never owned the Voice in its prime. I have two Odyssey 2 voice units now. Curious to see inside but afraid they may quit working if opened up. One was picked up attached to an O2 that was set out for garbage pick-up and the other was obtained in a trade along with some other stu...

Re: RIP 3DS/PS Vita 2011-2017

Can't speak for the PS Vita. Unless Nintendo made a dedicated system just for Pokémon, it would seem logical that a new Pokémon game every year would keep the Nintendo 3DS handheld going.

Crazy as it sounds, I know folks that have bought a PS 4, Xbox One or a 3DS for just one particular game.

Re: The 8-bit Home Computer Users Thread

Since I'm on apparently chatty, what ever happened to the idea of "carrying a character(s) though multiple games?" Wizardry of course does it, but you could do that with Baldur's Gate, Shining Force 3 in theory, etc. (dang Japanese only releases) That seems to have gone the wayside. There...
