MS.PACMAN MAZE MADNESS
give it a try because the real Critic is always right about a game.
Uh, no. I agree with the VGC about 75% of the time - but everyone has different tastes in games, and just because they don't agree doesn't make one 'right' or 'wrong'...

2008/10/5: Jaguar: Attack of the Mutant Penguins, Brain Dead 13 (CD), Evolution: Dino Dudes

As a long time Jaguar fan, I have to agree with your latest assessments. Many folks enjoy "Mutant Penguins", but have tried it myself I can't see the appeal.

The Jaguar does have some good games, but also a lot of stinkers - and these three latest are among them.

Holiday Buying Guide

I'm not a Sony fanboy, but I agree that the PS2 should have been included. It's still on the shelves, and I think for the average family it's a very good choice. You can buy one new with a controller for something like $125. Damn - that's a good deal!

New Console Reviews

I think that's a great idea. I saw something similar in today's local paper: a brief summary of the positives and negatives of all the current systems in the stores for Christmas: Wii, 360, PS2, PS3, PSP and DS. The writer directed the piece at buyers such as parents who may want t...

PSP Star Wars Bundle Impressions

I hadn't been interested in getting a PSP, but then I tried out my niece's PSP Fatty. I was really impressed with the ability to watch MP4s on a decent screen. I picked up a Daxter bundle as well, and I think it's a great deal. For the same price as the Star Wars bundle you get a s...

Current Gen Console Reviews?

On a tangent note: why are the handheld reviews kept separate from the tabletop consoles..?

Critic, what job to you have?

I work for a state-level gov't agency as something called a "technology coordinator". Essentially, I do technology support for the office workers: hardware, software, systems, scanners, printers, cameras, even cell phones, you name it. If it's technology, I help the users.

I've be...

The PS3's backup plan

I'm glad to see that someone found something useful for PS3s to do.
