Re: Walking Dead: Season One (PC)

I wonder which character you had issues with and if it's the same one I did? (His name starts with a "K") Wonder no more, same character. The one who really knows how to spread 'salt' in a wound, and not give a 'lick'. Some issues that annoyed me, and are not specific to the game, are thi...

Re: Walking Dead: Season One (PC)

Finished up Season 1. Whew. I will say this is game does linger in the brain during the nights. Very much like a Walking Dead story arc, with the focus on interactions between the living. The game play is mostly dialogue and QTEs, with the QTEs mostly being 'do or die and try again' model. Mild spoi...

42. Crazy Taxi (Sega Arcade, 1999) We bring you an arcade gem from the decades end. Crazy Taxi. Sega. With the same Sega spirit that had made the arcades fun since Periscope in 1968...and 3 decades later...well, Sega was Still Crazy after all those Years, Crazy Taxi that is. crazy-taxi-2.jpg This gr...

Re: Games that Sell a system?

Shouldn't a 'system seller' be a system exclusive?

Re: SuperHero TV

Interesting. Daredevil never clicked with me with the central conceit of the blindness / super senses thing. Marvel made a deliberate copy in Moon Knight, that I thought would have more potential. I will have to give Daredevil a go. One thing is of course, its Netflix, that releases entire seasons f...

38. Tecmo Super Bowl (NES 1991) http://www.consoleclassix.com/info_img/Tecmo_Super_Bowl_GEN_ScreenShot2.jpg I thought American Football should be a spot in here somewhere, and there were a few in the decade to choose from. I went with Tecmo Super Bowl on the NES, which sometimes makes lists of the v...

Re: Modern or classic gaming

For pure pick up and play short gaming sessions it's classic gaming all the way. If I have a bit of time on my hands I will get my teeth into a modern game. I will second that. Modern games are equated to longer gaming sessions for me as well. Depending on what classic means to you, there are class...

Re: new 3DS game is an old mobile game

Yes, you guys are correct. Whether Old Nintendo or Modern Nintendo, it has acted in ways that cheapen the brand many times in the past. I guess I am guilty of just allowing them to forget about it like it never happened, and continue to see Mario as some sort of seal of quality. Its not. Its just ma...

Re: "It's terrible but I like it anyway" games

One game that I forgot about until I recently watched the Game Grumps play it was The Three Stooges for the NES. It's definitely a terrible game, but I loved the Stooges as a kid (and still do, to a lesser extent) and ... the mini-games actually do reference specific Stooges shorts. As far as I kno...

Re: new 3DS game is an old mobile game

Nintendo loaned out Zelda to Phillips. They farmed out Star Fox to Namco. They held their physical chips for ransom from developers. They gave the green light to the live action Mario Bros. Movie. They made propaganda cards for the Axis powers. I don't think they're really slipping for the first ti...
