Re: Where are all the games?

I always buy new releases from Gamestop over Amazon cause there I can trade in older games for store credit, that way I never have to pay full price for a new release(can't remember the last time I paid full price for a new game). In my experience though, Gamestop's rates for trade-ins are the wors...

Re: RBI Baseball (PS4) download only

I saw a commercial for a new RBI Baseball game on television, and I thought I might want to give it a try. It looked a little low-budget, but frankly the old RBI games (circa 1992) looked that way too! Sadly, it's just a download code for $20. Would it have killed them to slap in on a disc? Now I'm...

Re: Final Fantasy X HD Remaster (PS4 edition)

I'm an idiot. I bought this for PS2 when it released. Then I bought the remastered version on the Vita. Then I bought it on PS3. And now I just bought it for PS4 because the limited edition comes with a calender. The worst part is I only played 2-3 hours of it on PS3/Vita. Help. Did you play it on ...

Re: Script Writing?

Like ActRaiser mentioned, I think the key is in finding a group of like-minded people to share the labor with. I've also always wanted to make my own game but ran into similar hurdles.

Re: "It's terrible but I like it anyway" games

My example is The Evil Within. The story and settings are just a hodgepodge of random survival horror tropes and many of the setpieces are ripped straight from Tomb Raider. The challenging gameplay and beautiful lighting engine keep me hooked though.

What are you listening to right now?

Let's talk about music! Gaming or not, what songs are stuck in your head these days? What do you default to when driving to work or school? Name 5 or more songs if you like! Here's mine: 1. "Emmylou" by First Aid Kit 2. "Forgive" by Porches 3. "Stranger than Earth" by P...

Re: IGA returns with new "Metroidvania" style game

This is fantastic. Iga gets a lot of flak for going to mobile games but Konami left him no choice. I hope he finds success as an independent developer because he truly is an interesting and talented creator.
