Final Fantasy X HD Remaster (PS4 edition)

Today, FFX releases on PS4. "But you already own it on Vita and PS3, PT!" you might say. "Stop supporting Square Enix and their lack of Cross-Buy!" you might add. But I don't care. When it comes to classic Final Fantasy, normal rules don't apply. A single game can be worth $130 t...

Re: Why I'm dropping Trophy hunting

Is it good? Yes, with some caveats. It's so brutally difficult at times that I can't help but obsess over conquering it. It's kind of like Ninja Gaiden or Mario Bros. 2 in that the difficulty doesn't always feel fair; there's one boss fight that takes place in a series of low-lit chambers where the...

Re: Would you buy Destiny GOTY?

I've never understood that. I get how the online part works. It's kinda like in the Souls games. But why didn't they include the option to play offline? Just like in Souls, being online doesn't seem like something that the game NEEDS. I think it's because the developers are constantly tweaking and ...

Re: Favorite YouTube Gamers?

I'm going to say something very controversial. I like PewDiePie. I find his unabashed, unscripted silliness in reaction to videogames to be humorous. Watching his videos, especially the earlier ones, it doesn't look like he was ever motivated by money or trying to make a career out of playing games....

Re: Mortal Kombat X

What do you think of the micro-transactions for buying easy fatalities(seems really pointless since fatalities aren't that difficulty to pull off anyways)? That seems pretty dumb. It doesn't bother me too much because there's so much content already in the game. It's like having DLC for extra costu...

Re: Why I'm dropping Trophy hunting

I'm not all that concerned with platinums though. Completion for completion's sake doesn't appeal to me. Yeah that's what I'm trying to get at. I presume your enjoying The Evil Within and want another way to play through the game ? I was similar with Bioshock I enjoyed it so much that I wanted to s...

Re: Why I'm dropping Trophy hunting

I like trophies that really feel like they mean something. I'm working on beating The Evil Within on the hardest difficulty level in one playthrough and a no-upgrade survival run on another playthrough. The latter is more doable but if and when I achieve the former, I'll feel like I really earned th...

Re: Bring Back High Score Challenge?

I presume emulation would be OK for when we don't own the game ? Emulation should not be allow due to save states. Not sure how you could prove its not an emulator though. I guess no matter what it's still an honor system. What games would be chosen for high scores? I personally love shmups and vid...

Re: Old Sega Dreamcast game DLC for Rayman 2 accessible via cheat code.

Wow! I had no idea that there were dreamcast games with DLC. Where were they stored? I guess the Dreamcast was ahead of its time in more ways than I thought.
