Re: Where are all the games?

I don't go to stores to buy the majority of my games, but that is in large part dictated by my work schedule. I can't justify the extra time of going to a store for the explicit purpose of buying a game. For me at least, I have more games to play than I can possibly make time for. I'm still trying t...

Re: Cost of Mandatory installs on the PS4

Yikes ! I like Velcozbombie like to have all my games installed at all times, but if that's a limitation of these HDD based consoles then that's just the way it is I suppose. Is it easy to swap for a high capacity HDD ? Can you use an external one ? Or are we just making a bigger issue than it need...

Re: 2015/4/21: Xbox One: Forza Horizon 2

That's something that the "next generation" consoles from Sony and Microsoft have yet to provide, as I understand it. And it's much of the reason why I choose to play this now, rather than hold off until I buy a Xbox One. One thing that you can do now on the PS4 is listen to music on Spot...

Re: Final Fantasy XIII-2 for PS3 and 360

Thanks for the review, Adam!

I also found XIII-2 to be quite a bit easier across the board. A lot of people who were turned off by XIII will write this off as well and that's a shame. It's a totally different game with a different rhythm. Caius is also one of the best videogame villains ever.

Re: The Last of Us GOTY Edition

I've been waiting for this to come out. Still not here. I've read it was released in Japan, maybe the UK and even Australia. Why would the U.S. not get a release? This released quite a while ago though! It's called The Last of Us: Remastered. The "GOTY" wording isn't in there but that's e...

Re: Video Game Narrative

Great topic! The idea that somehow videogame stories can't compete with the best films and novels is an unnecessary abstraction that acts as a self-fulfilling prophecy. Of course, there are always ambitious and talented individuals who are able to disrupt the status quo. As for your last point, I ha...

Re: Games that you had to beat 100%

I got the platinum trophy on Dark Souls II (which includes all spells, items, etc.) At some point I'll finish doing the same for Demon's Souls and DS1.

Re: Resident Evil (HD remaster for Xbox One

I totally get where you're coming from. I too agree that Silent Hill's puzzles are more interesting but man...there's just something about this game. It's very subjective, of course, but RE1 just hits all the right notes for me. I also hope for updated versions of RE2 and RE3, and a version of RE4 f...

Resident Evil (HD remaster for Xbox One

This year, I resolved to play old classics that I somehow missed the first time around. Believe it or not, that list includes Resident Evil. Released for GameCube back in 2002, this remake of the 1996 classic has aged like a fine wine. Intricately detailed environments that impressed back then still...
