Re: Rare Replay (Xbox One)

Anyway not only do you get 30 classic on a disc, but at a budget price too ($30 I think). I think we need to support compilations like this to encourage them to make more! I might even need to stop badmouthing the Xbox One.... nah! Just to warn you, it sadly appears to require an online activation ...

Re: Kickman

I don't know if it got a cartridge release, but there's a nice clone on the Atari 8 bits called Pinhead. I've emulated it a few times over the years and thought it played nice. If you ever bought and figured out that AtariMax multicart that you've posted asking about a few years back, you could prob...

Re: Atari Anthology (PS2)

I was thinking about all three. Atari was infamous for how they treated their programmers. They refused to give them credit, assigned them to projects that they weren't passionate about (Such as Pac-Man with Tod Fyre, for perhaps the best example), had tight deadlines that simply weren't realistic (...

Re: Atari Anthology (PS2)

Discounting the arcade categories, I recommend the following... Some of these I think you've already played, but I didn't feel like going back and scanning the thread to check. I've also eliminated some paddle releases that I think are worth some time on the real deal, but are too crippled on this c...

Re: Favorite/Least Favorite Super Mario 64 Course?

Rainbow Ride is an easy level I feel. You just have to be willing to play it at a speed below a full run. With a bit of patience, most of the challenge disappears. Never found one of the stars dependent on luck more so than skill. Tiny-Huge Island has to be mine. Too many times over the years, I've ...

Re: I feel the GameCube is vastly overrated.

Atariboy, I also recall Eurogamer mentioning something about the PS2's high embedded RAM bandwidth. That doesn't do much to stack up against the GC's raw processing advantage though; It's like arguing that the Xbox One is more powerful than the PS4 because its 32MB of eSRAM reaches a higher peak ba...

Re: I feel the GameCube is vastly overrated.

I don't believe that that's entirely accurate. Going off memory, the PS2's memory bandwidth supposedly was very high for an example and was frequently cited as one of the few advantages that the hardware held. Apparently it even compares favorably in certain small areas to the following generation o...

I can't believe that Master Quest slipped my mind.

Does your download of it have correct button icons? Mine appears to a direct rip from Wind Waker's bonus disc, with GCN button colors substituted.

Re: Got an Everdrive 64! Game recommendations?

There are some interesting non Japanese imports. Four that come to mind that I've been able to successfully play on my NTSC system are HSV Adventure Racing (The Australian version of Beetle Adventure Racing with the new Beetles replaced with HSV Commodores), Lylat Wars 64 (The European version of St...
