Re: The Criticize Nintendo Thread

I imagine he's curled up in a ball in his bed saying, "It can't be. It can't be!" Either that or he's working feverishly trying to find a way to justify it. Nintendo going mobile and planning a subscription-based system is a lot to swallow. I know it irks me so I can only imagine how deve...

Re: So I finally got an Xbox One

With how you seemingly look towards Redmond each day at noon and chant a prayer, I figured you already had one of these. ;) I've softened my stance towards it, thanks to moves they've made since launch in response to criticism. May even get it before a PS4, even though I still intend to primarily bu...

To pick it outside of versus mode (And possibly time trials?), you must have all gold trophies in 150cc.

Re: General Conversation forum?

Tron, you should check out 'The Outer Limits' and 'One Step Beyond', contemporaries of the original Twilight Zone. Both are very well done and even spawned new series many years later, just as The Twilight Zone did (The Next Step Beyond which ran a season in 1978; and seven seasons utilizing the cla...

Re: All the way through?

Correcting my post above, the All-Stars save system is even more robust than I remembered. You can return to a specific level, not just level 1 of the world that you've selected. I beat the Lost Levels on SMB Deluxe on the GBC and managed to get through it without using save states. While I never pl...

Re: 2015/4/21: Xbox One: Forza Horizon 2

That's something that the "next generation" consoles from Sony and Microsoft have yet to provide, as I understand it. And it's much of the reason why I choose to play this now, rather than hold off until I buy a Xbox One. One thing that you can do now on the PS4 is listen to music on Spot...

Re: The Last of Us GOTY Edition

That's a PS4 product though. He seems to be looking for a PS3 retail option that bundles in the Left Behind expansion pack, on the disc. But while North America hasn't gotten that option in retail form on the PS3, don't forget that the PS3 is region free. If you want that expansion on disc and on th...

Re: All the way through?

Yeah, not only do you have the advantage of being able to restart at the first stage of each world when you see a game over screen, but there are many other advantages. By default, you start with two extra lives. Another good example is reaching World 9, where you're not stuck with just a single lif...

Re: All the way through?

Finished the Japanese Super Mario Bros. 2 tonight on the Wii U (Super Mario Bros: The Lost Levels, to us Westerners). That includes World 9, which requires the use of no warping throughout the main 8 worlds. I'd like to say that I didn't use save states, but there's just no way that a normal human b...

Re: 2015/4/21: Xbox One: Forza Horizon 2

Nice review, although it leaves me curious what you would think of the 360 original. Not owning a Xbox One, I recently went for the 360 port from Sumo Digital, a studio best known for the home versions of Sega's Outrun 2 line and Sega's kart racers. So far above six hours in, I thought they did a ni...
