Re: The SNES mini is Nintendo's last chance for me

I saw Switch hardware two or three times in the early weeks. But over the past two weeks, I've been in my local Wal-Mart in the middle of the afternoon three times now and they've had multiple units every time. I think the stock shortage is over.

Re: N64 Mini Classic

Nintendo's 1st party lineup often looks great when rendered at 480p on the Virtual Console, so I wouldn't dismiss the possibility. The water in Wave Race still looks great, Paper Mario almost always looks top notch except when text font is shown enlarged to imply a character raising their voice, Sup...

Re: XBox 360 Backwards Compatibility?

That list has been vandalized, so take it with a grain of salt. I've weeded some of it out in recent weeks, but I'm sure that there are additional errors and there's the possibility that some of my edits have been reverted. An awful lot of those titles shown as only backwards compatible in PAL terri...

Re: Simcity SNES.

In the SuperNes game, Bowser is a natural disaster.

If I'm remembering the excellent instruction manual correctly, he's most likely to strike if air pollution in your city is bad.

Re: X-Kaliber 2097 on Retron 5

Given that I don't see anything out there about this game not being compatible with the Retron 5, try cleaning the contacts. I triggered a similarly odd warning screen in Yoshi's Island 20 years ago on genuine hardware, telling me that it was illegal to copy cartridges (Much like the Super Mario All...

Re: Is Silent Hill HD Collection really that bad?

The PS3 version had a patch that helped a lot. So unless you're very picky, intend to play it on a Xbox 360 which didn't see any of the fixes be applied, or object to what's on disc not being very representative of the finished product, it's a fine way at this point to experience Silent Hill 2/3. Th...

Re: SNES Classic Announced

Killer Instinct is a Rareware property and they're owned by Microsoft. So even if the 16 bit port was fully owned by Nintendo, it's just like something like the Atari 2600 conversion of Pac-Man is for today's Atari. Without the permission of the IP holder whose property was the basis for the the con...

Re: The last of us. ps3

Is the DLC worth it?

Had been thinking of just holding off until I buy a PS4 someday and buy the remaster, but I see that the expansion is 50% off at the moment on the PS3 (Now $5).

Re: SNES Classic Announced

I'm not surprised by the number of games since if we multiply by the $8 Virtual Console price, this is equivalent to last year's 30 NES games, value wise. But I still can't help thinking about what could've been here had it been 25. Staying with the theme they have going rather than adding different...
