Re: Instruction Manual Idea

Much like developing a great videogame there is an art in constructing an instruction manual. The 90s were the heyday of the best instruction manuals. Many manuals not only told you how to play the game, but they had background details about enemies, original artwork, story elements and sometimes ev...

Re: Mortal Kombat Series

I have in fact played Shaolin Monks...and I reviewed it on this site many years ago. Here is what I said about it in 2006! "The game is basically a MK fantatics dream come true. You get to play out the storyline from the end of MK1 to the beginning of MK3 (arguably the best time period of the f...

Re: Would Mobile Phone Gaming with Real Controls be better?

I've got a smart phone, and an iPad. The games on these things are not good. Even the best ones don't come near typical portable gaming standards. Also, most of them are either free to play with ads or schemes to make you spend money to play more. I no longer use either of my devices for standard vi...

Re: Mortal Kombat Series

I love the MK series and still do. It's gone through so many changes...so many ups and downs. Alot of other series wouldn't have survived, but MK has soldiered on and is arguably now better than ever. I'm glad to see the game once again be so popular among gamers...for a while in the early 2000s it ...

Re: The Horror Movie Lovers Thread

I'm not a fan of the Blair Witch Project at all. However to truly understand it's impact you had to be there when it came out. The internet wasn't like it is now. Information wasn't readily available. People really thought what they were seeing was real. For some folks it wasn't until they saw the f...

Re: No Split Screen in Halo 5

Boooooooooooooooooooooooooo!

I could go into a big ol rant right now...but I won't. It will basically turn into a grumpy old guy complaining about how awesome things used to be and how they suck now.

He's talking about the color commentator. It's the guy who provides brief quips during a televised sporting event, but doesn't do the play by play commentary.

Re: 2015/7/4: Nintendo 64: Waialae Country Club, Rampage 2

I really love the Rampage games. While I fully acknowledge that they're not really good games, I still love them. I'm sure it has to do with my love of King Kong, Godzilla and other Kaiju films. Any game with giant monsters causing destruction will instantly win points with me. I think the Rampage g...

Re: I Doubt Shenmue III will ever see the light of day

It still looks like the Kickstarter is set at it's original goal of $2 million space bucks. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/ysnet/shenmue-3/description The rest of the money looks like stretch goals to add more content to the game. Everything I've read is that the Kickstarter was simply created...

Re: Theme Gaming - Bug Games

I think the ultimate bug games are the Earth Defense Force games. I like em all. I HATE bugs and playing these games is like my own personal revenge simulator. Plus they're the closest thing we'll ever get to a Starship Troopers type game.
