Re: Got a Nintendo Switch!

I also managed to snag a Nintendo Switch recently. I picked up Breath of the Wild and The Binding of Isaac. The hardware is very impressive and my short time with the system has proved to be immensely satisfying. Breath of the Wild is legit. I haven't even touch Binding of Isaac yet. I like the joy ...

Re: R.I.P. NES Classic (Thanks, Nintendo!)

It certainly appears to be a blunder from Nintendo to discontinue this incredibly hot and sought after product. My gut feeling is that they were never able to get a handle on the supposed production issues of the NES classic. Once the Switch landed and became insanely popular they decided to cut the...

Re: Physical Release Thread

The recent indie sensation "Stardew Valley" just received a physical "collector's edition" for both the Xbox One and PS4. https://www.amazon.com/Stardew-Valley-Collectors-PlayStation-4/dp/B01N199PG7/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1492051651&sr=8-1&keywords=stardew+valley+ps4 ...

Splatterhouse Wanpaku Graffiti (Famicom) 5. Earth Defense Force 4.1 (PS4) 4. Pacman Vs (Gamecube) 3. Fable (Xb...

Re: Xbox Generations

All three of the remaining big horses shoot themselves in the foot at one time or another. People tend to forget how much Sony messed up the first 3-4 years of the PS3. Since then they've been good again and dominate by trying to give gamers what they want. Nintendo is Nintendo and you might as well...

Re: Growing up with the NES

I live in Europe and I grew up with a Sega Master System, I have fine memories of that system too. I guess things make more impression on you as you are a kid, so the systems with had back in the days were very influential for our 'development as gamers'. :).... My favorite Master System games were...

Re: Games that justify the hardware purchase

I've always said that Star Control II is so damn good that it's worth owning a 3DO for. It's a bold statement, but I fully stand behind it lol.

Growing up with the NES

Another little shameless promotions, but my friend and I just uploaded our NES podcast episode over on our website. The episode talks about the very first time we ever played a NES, our favorite games, and more. Please check it out! https://wolfmanslounge.com/2017/03/08/wolfmans-lounge-episode-9/ Ho...

Re: Dormant Sega Franchises

I've always said that SEGA has been missing out on capitlizing on their own legacy. I thought when they purchased Atlus Games that there were murmurs of that studio going through SEGA's back catalog and resurrecting some franchises? Anywho here are some can't miss ideas! Altered Beast - I agree with...

Re: Way Of The Warrior on 3DO

This game will always be such a guilty pleasure for me. It's the videogame equivalent of watching a film like Ninja III: The Domination or Death Stalker . It's crazy to think that this was made by the legendary Naughty Dog studios. Then again it actually isn't. In some ways the game comes very close...
