Re: Anybody played Splatoon for the Wii U?

Yeah, that's not a bad way to describe it. It's goofy fun. A few nitpicks so far are the lack of off screen play and no voice chat. In a heavy team focused game - I don't get it. One weird pro is that while you're waiting for a new match to start you can play a mini game on the controller. It's a si...

Re: Humble Nintendo Bundle

Steam World Dig is worth the price of admission alone. I've got it on the PS4 from Playstation Plus. That game is awesome. I have a good number of these already on Sony/Xbox but might still pick up the bundle to just have them on my Wii U. I don't have a 3DS yet. Do you know if the codes expire for ...

Re: When do you buy your video games?

All but that very last one regarding eBay. Dang it, now, I'll have to add that method as well. ;)

For some reason I believe I'd have a lot more money if I'd stop buying video games. Of course, I'd then find another more expensive hobby to while away my time.

Re: Bad Parts in Good Games

RAAM is one thing that definitely needs to be fixed in the upcoming re-release of Gears of War, I only managed to beat him by exploiting a glitch and that was on Casual difficulty, I don't even want to think about how insanely hard he is on higher difficulties. bunch of pansies...I beat him on insa...

Re: Farscape?

Yeah, if you remember the 70s TV show, where Buck is on a space shuttle, and he ends up 500 years into the future. He's a fish out of water and only with his 70s era common sense can he over come the trials of the 25th century. In Farscape a guy in a shuttle of some sort gets launched to the other s...

Re: Farscape?

Farscape is awesome!

It's Buck Rogers meets the late 1990s/early 2000s.

Re: Anybody played Splatoon for the Wii U?

The only local play is 1 on 1. Someone uses the TV and someone uses the Wii U controller. There is no online co-op mode. I think I've played about an hour or so. The maps seem extremely limited. My one saving grace is I tried out Best Buy's 20% off Gamer's Club which shaved $12 off the price. The si...

Re: SuperHero TV

As a comic as a kid I never enjoyed Daredevil either. I couldn't get into the concept of a blind guy going around and beating up people. I wanted my super heroes to have SUPER powers not just some mindless extra senses with hearing. Now, as a TV series it hits on all cylinders with a great story. Fo...

Re: SuperHero TV

As Super Hero TV goes - Daredevil on Netflix may be my favorite of the year. It's really what Gotham should have been. It's dark, gritty, and awesome. Daredevil brings Batman to the Marvel Universe. Gotham tried to play both sides of the card with campy humor and darkness at the same time. However, ...

Re: Final Fantasy VII (PS1)

I remember I bought the Playstation used from a buddy. It came with Final Fantasy VII and a couple of other games. Funny, I can't remember the other games but certainly remember FFVII. What a great game! I haven't played it in nearly 20 years but at the time it certainly hit the sweet spot of epicne...
