I can understand with mobile involved now there is just not the room for a competitor to Nintendo.

I recently purchased a Vita it's a smart system, but to be honest I use it purely for remote play whilst the missus is watching TV.

Going to try, not holding out much hope though.
Still haven't found a NES classic at a decent price but heard they will be producing more next year.

I think that's one of the reasons the NES didn't do great in Europe. It's not got a decent football (ok soccer if you must) game on it.

Finally, finally beaten R-Type always adored this game but really set my mind to it and have now beaten it. Tough but finally beaten. Man I feel so satisfied !
