Re: Dark Souls Remastered

Your constant raving of this series is peaking my interest :D

Is Bloodborne a good place to start ? Or should I wait for the remaster ?

Re: Obscure Systems

Ahh yes I remember reading Chronogamers game reviews of the console portion (this is a console / computer hybrid, or combiner in Transformers terms). Unfortunately it’s just got the usual clone games that all these early systems seem to have, but it’s Space Invaders clone (Space Destroyers ?) is a g...

Re: Atari ST Games Ported to the Jag

It's nice to have a few new games, but I would like to see some of this effort put into -new- games like Rebooteroids. Yes but since the bulk of the ST’s games were developed and sold in Europe and Australia it opens up a whole new library of games for other regions (such as the US). Especially if ...

Super Mario Bros ported to the Super Cassette Vision

The scrolling is surprisingly smooth as it’s normally janky on these era systems.

Re: I got a Switch . . & I like it!

only to find out the game was a huge POS. The always online requirements for so many games, loot crate nonsense, micro transactions, giant games that come out unfinished and buggy, or games that get hyped and then canceled for no reason really just turned me off I don’t agree with all your points, ...

Re: Obscure Systems

I'll add one more - its also part of the Atari Video Pinball unit along with the pinball variants (some use flippers, some use a pong paddle) and the breakout/breakthrough, and that's BASKETBALL. What makes this different from a pong game (although its obviously is descended from it, is that you *b...

Re: This months's free PS+ games

PS+ games have been really good of late, I’ve added them all to my library (a lesson learned from the PS3). But haven’t got round to playing any yet. Sonic Mania is still taking up all my play time. Great idea for a thread. Never played a telltale game, I’m sure I have another (Walking Dead maybe ?)...

Behold, the Philips Tele-Spiel, from 1975: http://www.old-computers.com/museum/computer.asp?st=2&c=664 Looks like the usual PC-50x / Telstar Arcade style system although perhaps released earlier ? Pong Story has a good page dedicated to it: http://www.pong-story.com/spiel.htm But just looking a...
