Re: Keep Politics out of video games

I'd rather keep politics out of gaming. Here in the U.K. the country is divided more or less down the middle politics wise, so if games were to get political you potentially upset half of your players.

Re: Just how bad are the Star Wars prequels?

Lucas only actually directed the first of the original trilogy, which is great but is clearly the weakest of the original 3. It's not as good as The Empire Strikes Back , but it's a sight better than Return of the Jedi . A New Hope is the most focused and tight of the three; Return of the Jedi is h...

Re: Just how bad are the Star Wars prequels?

What really got my goat about the prequels was that Anakin's transformation was handled poorly. We should have seen some darkness in him during Phantom Menace, perhaps he uses the force to his advantage in the pod race or he force kills his master - something, anything to show he has that side to hi...

Amen to that I was humming chemical plant Zone just the other day. That Sega sound chip was awesome in the right hands.

Re: Wonder Woman 2017 has redeemed the DC cinematic universe!

To be honest I was going to give this a miss as I find Wonder Woman as a hero more than a little cheesy.
However the response to the film is overwhelmingly positive so my next day off (whenever that may be) will be a trip to the picture house.

Bit of a can of worms as box art can vary between both releases and regions.

Re: Night Trap

Just wanted to add, this game has got to be the best use of FMV gameplay ever and probably the best FMV game ever too (I consider those as two separate categories). Any better that I'm forgetting? I know that's not saying much, considering its competition, but still... Night Trap is often treated a...

Re: Lynx Vs. Game Gear

Looking over this thread so far, I think the Game Gear is suffering from the fact that it's an enhanced Master System attempting to keep up with the Genesis, and it's place in the ecosystem was completely replaced by the Nomad. But back in the day? Completely agree. The Lynx suffered the same issue...

Re: Grim Fandango (PC/PS4/Vita) & other Tim Schafer adventure games

The Broken Sword games are great entry points for adventure games. Their puzzles are generally solvable, the protagonist is likeable and the humour very good especially when out in the Middle East. The only issue I had with the original was that damn goat, my friend lent me the game back in the day ...
