Maybe the world in Fallout 4 would have to be smaller too. The size of the playing area is pretty big. That's the biggest thing I've noticed this gen the worlds are bigger and more open. With little to no loading times. Seriously go back and play a 7th gen title and they almost feel claustrophobic ...

Re: Street Fighter V

Capcom have actually said they won't be releasing any Turbo, Ultra, Hyper, etc versions of SFV. As they are regularly going to keep updating the core game with additional content which to me is a lot better than a whole new release every year or two. I hope its successful as this is a move which wou...

I always find the exclusive thing a strange argument. If it's a great game and multi platform then it's still a great game. Back in the day a game would release on all major systems ST, Amiga, Speccy, Amstrad, C64 and it was always fun to see each versions strengths and weaknesses. I really don't gi...

Re: 2016/2/10: Jaguar: Tempest 2000

I suppose the biggest difference is the 'second wave' of fifth generation consoles the PSX, Saturn and N64 bought texture mapped polygons. Wheras the 'first wave' Jaguar, 32x, 3DO, CD32, etc. Their polygon pushing was mostly without the texture mapping giving a 'cleaner' albeit more simple look.

Re: Misleading Games?

I can remember a bit of a storm with the Spectrum version of Out Run. The screenshots on the back had been doctored to show the AI trucks that you race past at a similar size to the arcade machine. When you actually played the games the trucks were about the same size as the cars. It caused quite a ...

Re: Tales of Hardware Failures

Definitely. My ST's double sided disk drive decided to only read single sided recently rendering most of my games unplayable. Thankfully a disk cleaner sorted it, for now at least. The ST is my system that seems to require most maintenance, along with my PC-50x system whose game select buttons seem ...

Text adventures, a genre that can either engross or completely put you off them forever. Have you ever played Scott Adams Spider-Man text adventure game ? The game is so obtuse as to be unplayable how anyone beat that back in the day without some sort of guide amazes me. http://www.atarimania.com/ga...

Re: 2016/2/10: Jaguar: Tempest 2000

How did Iron Soldier compare to Metal Head on 32x ?
I do admit to being curious with the Jaguar especially as emulation is still not very good for it.
I like systems that have a limited roster of good games (like the 32x) as they are not as overwhelming as the Genesis or SNES.

The guy who did Questicle and is now working on Sega Does is looking to launch a NES compendium.

Might be worth considering for the Nintendo fans out there.

Re: question about gunstar heroes

I need to buy this game again. It truly is excellent if I remember correctly there are 4 worlds but it's a tough old game so you won't breeze through it.

I can't advise on the price as I'm from the UK and prices will be different here.
