Re: Amiibo Icon?

Hmm to me they are a form of DLC and micro-transactions in disguise.

Personally I wouldn't find an icon useful but if a lot of your readers are Amiibo fans/addicts might be a good idea.

I haven't touched the desktop site in years. Always use the mobile site ever since I got an iPhone.

Re: Your Top 5 Pong Games

The first generation is a difficult one to research. You don't look up a system and then it's games like subsequent generations. You look up a chip and then see what games and systems utilised that chip. It's interesting but very samey and get a bit dry. There is also surprisingly little resources a...

Soon as you look at the screenshot you can tell it's a Nintendo game. Not sure if that's a good thing or not.

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

This game is far and away the best 8th generation game I've played. There is just so much to do and so many different ways of approaching each mission and side op. For me this confirms Kojima as one gamings greats. What's clever about the pacing and design is when the game starts to feel a little sa...

Re: New System: Sega SG-1000

Yeah but that's like saying PS1 games run on a PS2. The Mark 3 is the Japanese Master System with different shaped carts but the same games/code. But the Mark 3 is backwards compatible with the SG-1000 so it runs both SG-1000 games and Sega Mark 3 (Master System) games. The section should definitely...

The Vic 20 ! Never seen one in the flesh and they were on their last legs when I got into gaming (it was a three leg battle between the C64, Speccy and Amstrad CPC). But I can vaguely remember some Vic 20 coverage please keep us upto date with your discoveries. I presume the BASIC is similar to the ...

Re: New System: Sega SG-1000

Look forward to the reviews. I purchased one a year or two ago but had to sell it. I just couldn't get the thing to work with a PAL TV so had to move it on. I hear it's a lot easier for you guys as your also NTSC. My only knowledge of the games is through the excellent Sega Does blog and there does ...

Re: It is just sad of what the Video Game industry has become!

MGSV is a fantastic title and easily my best game of this generation. Just when it starts to get samey it will mix it up and keep you engaged. Clever things like the bad guys adapting to your tactics: keep sniping headshots and they will start to wear helmets, always attacking at night ? They will s...
