Re: 2015/4/24: Jaguar: NBA Jam Tournament Edition
I've got the 32X version, but as mentioned, the turbo layout is far less than ideal.
I was looking at getting the 32x version as it's one of the cheaper games on a increasingly expensive system to collect for (especially here In PAL land). Does the 6 button pad not alleviat...

Re: new 3DS game is an old mobile game

Are they big budget new IP's though ? Which is what I was getting at, ie with some marketing muscle behind them ? Project Giant Robot to me looks gimmicky and unwieldy. S.T.E.A.M. Looks good but as a strategy game may be a bit niche ? Devils Third - Now this one does look interesting and is potentia...

Re: Service Games: The Rise and Fall of Sega (book)

I may have been prematurely harsh in my initial assessment of this book. Scotland's points of inconsistencies still hold true.
However once the book moves into 16-bit and 32-bit territory it is a very engaging read.

Re: new 3DS game is an old mobile game

I think Nintendo are just simply lacking ideas and looking elsewhere for inspiration. I know the Wii U has some strong titles but they are continuations of it's existing series. Again no big budget new IP's and the typical game drought that's blighted Nintendo consoles since the N64. Charging $30 fo...

Re: My daughter and I have gotten into Star Trek

Voyage Home was the one with the whale on earth right? I remember thinking that movie was awful & you have it ranked at 4. I think I would put that near the bottom. It truly is one of the entries that splits opinion. I find the overall premise a bit dull. But the whole crew from the future tryi...

I promise I'm not trying to hog this thread but I need to get this game in ! 27. Sega Rally Championship Sega Saturn 1995 For me this is the pinnacle of the 90's racer. Fast smooth arcade based game play. Despite only having four courses and three cars you can spend months mastering this game. It tr...

26. Sonic 3 and Knuckles MegaDrive/Genesis 1994 All the 16-bit Sonic games are awesome but for me this takes the crown. Using the (still) unique 'lock on' cartridge creates a huge and beautiful looking game. The gameplay is still classic Sonic but with more exploration elements and the option of pla...

22. Sensible Soccer 1992. Commodore Amiga / Atari ST What a sports title ? Yes this definitely was one of the top titles of it's day. Numerous school and college tournaments arranged and rivalries forged. This was one of the first football games that managed to mix arcade style pick up and play but ...

Re: Atari Anthology (PS2)

Missile Command (2600 version) After finally pulling myself away from Warlords on the 2600 I find myself with another brilliant arcade port by Atari. I've got to say thus far I've been really impressed by how Atari 'brought the arcade home'. I actually prefer this version over the arcade original. I...
