Re: All the way through?

Finally, finally beaten R-Type always adored this game but really set my mind to it and have now beaten it. Tough but finally beaten. Man I feel so satisfied !

Re: Classic Consoles Upkeep

My retro systems are all plugged in and set up in the loft but when not in use I turn them off at the mains.

The PS3 and PS4 are downstairs and they are left plugged in standby mainly for the auto updates and downloads.

Sonic Mania

Only played the first level before going to work this morning. First impressions are WOW ! If you love the Sonic 16-bit games seems like your going to love this. I like the fact they take familiar levels but then expand them. For example Green Hill starts as an exact copy but when you go off the bea...

Re: DF Retro's Failed Consoles: Sega 32X - We Play Every Game part 1 and 2!

Very interesting and entertaining videos. I like the 32x myself but I had no idea it struggled with 2D so much. - No tile based scrolling so it had to rely on the MegaDrive - Extra colours but usually at the cost of frame rate. Always wondered why we didn't get a great Street Fighter 2 port or Reven...

Re: ZX Spectrum reviews

If you decide to do this, I'm curious to see what your favorite Dizzy game is. It seems like everyone has a different answer. (On the Spectrum I like III and IV, but my favorite overall is Fantastic Dizzy .) Oh yes ! I loved the Dizzy games. Fantasy World Dizzy was definitely my favourite. Sure the...

Re: Favorite Sonic The Hedgehog Soundtrack?

Chemical Plant Zone from Sonic 2 and Ice Cap Zone from Sonic 3 are my favourites really adrenaline pumping.

Also Sonic 1 on the Master System has a Janet Jackson style tune (can't remember which Zone) which always gets me humming.

Re: Tomcat Alley-Sega Cd

I was playing some Sega CD last night, so I figured I'd snag Tomcat Alley off my shelf and give it a try (I had never played it before). The cheesy FMV scenes are entertaining enough. They're painfully grainy, but I give them credit for being full-screen. As for the gameplay, not too bad, but nothi...

Out Run and Hang On or a combination of both. There cannot only be me who craves a classic arcade style racer with current gen graphics.
