Re: 2016/6/5: Turbografx-16: Davis Cup Tennis, World Court Tennis, World Sports Competition

World Court Tennis uses the same engine as Family Tennis, the best tennis game on the NES/Famicom. I've only played the TG-16 game a little bit, but right away I could tell it was the same -- the serves, forehands, everything in the game had the same crisp, intuitive, yet faithful-to-real-life feel ...

Re: Summer Olympic Games

Will you be adding Super Pro Decathlon to the mix? I hope so! It'd be great to see more reviews of the classic-era Intellivision library, since you're not too far from completing the set.

(I guess Spiker would also fit the theme, but unless you have a flash cart... 8-) )

Re: 2012/11/4: Sega CD: Corpse Killer, Heart of the Alien, Lethal Enforcers II: Gunfighters

After playing the ST version and the Mega Drive version I still regard it as a very strong game. But then I played the Sega CD version. Something is off. Presentation and sound is above the aforementioned versions but the timing of the CD version is 'off'. I can't really explain it but for some rea...

What's going on with the hi-res images of the moon in those Arcadia screenshots? A watermark, I suppose?

I was wondering if I'd get away with that. I believe you're probably right.

That said, does the LaserActive still get the edge over the Neo Geo?

Re: Final word on most expensive console ever!

Oh, I'm not so sure the Neo Geo gets the title:

That's the equivalent of over $6K today, I believe. :o

Heh, I have the PlayStation (PS1) game, though I haven't played it (it came with a large lot of sealed games). Maybe you could review the PlayStation version as well?

Re: 2016/2/19: SG-1000: Dragon Wang, GP World, Zaxxon

Well, it's complicated because the Master System can play SG-1000 games -- all the necessary stuff is there on the motherboard, and F-16 Fighting Falcon uses the SG-1000 display mode. It's just that the US BIOS locks them out, and the pinouts on the cart slot have been changed as well. But if you ha...

Re: Inconsistency with reviews that might need correction list.

I'm going to put Destination Earthstar on my review list because apparently I missed the boat on that one. It happens. :) Glad to hear it. We all overlook things from time to time; why, just the other day, I overlooked a four-leaf clover. BTW I don't expect the review grade to change much, if at al...

Re: Inconsistency with reviews that might need correction list.

The only review I particularly want to see the Critic redo is the Destination Earthstar review, simply because it completely ignores half of the game.

Otherwise, eh, if I wanted consistency I'd make tapioca pudding. (Mmm, tapioca pudding.)
