Re: River Raid (Atari 2600)

Lots of those old 8-bit systems have some great games. It's all I play; I couldn't be bothered with anything that's come out in the last couple of generations.

Re: Nintendo Switch: Boom or Bust?

They can't even get the NES Classic into stores two months after release; imagine the delays and supply issues we'll see with the Switch. Bust.

Re: Introducing the Nintendo Switch

Nintendo still isn't meeting demand for the NES Classic, more than two months after the release date.

I have zero faith that they'll handle the release of the Switch any better.

'Sound system'... you mean like the speaker of the TV I plug my old 8-bit stuff into? :D

LOL... any kind of sound system would be entirely wasted for any of the systems I play.

Re: Odyssey 2 Broken!

I'm glad you have a working O2, and I look forward to the reviews. The O2 is not that well known, compared to other systems from its day such as the Intellivision or the Colecovision. Although it has a fair number of crappy games, it does have some real gems, like the two KC games, UFO, Turtles, Mon...

Re: Top 5 Game Boy Advance Games

Since the Nintendo franchise games such as Mario/Wario/DK, etc are going to dominate any top 5 list for the GBA, how about listing the Top 5 Non-Nintendo games? Particularly the "hidden gems" that weren't big sellers and are not going to be familiar to many players...

Re: Miniature NES with 30 built-in games

Don't worry, in two or three weeks they'll have plenty more of these just in time for Christmas shoppers. Well, I screwed up that prediction! I honestly thought Nintendo would make them available by the second week of December, and then haul all the profits to the bank. Here it is the second week o...

Re: Conflict of Interest?

The same thing happens in a lot of industries. For example, I have been riding street motorcycles since 1992, and have read many reviews in magazines and web sites over the years. If you flip through a motorcycle magazine, you'll notice that the vast majority of ads are for motorcycles and riding ge...
