Re: Christmas Loot

I didn't get any games this Christmas. This year was a "practical Christmas" for me, lol. I got a new indoor grill, a new toaster oven, and a book I've been wanting, but not much else in the way of toys and games. Oh well, if they're gonna buy me stuff I need, that just leaves me more mone...

How often do you replay?

When you play games, how often do you replay old ones you've already beaten vs playing new ones? Usually, I hardly ever replay games for the same reason I hardly ever reread books. There are always so many other games I haven't even touched that I don't have time to go back to the ones I've already ...

Re: Games that you've beaten in 2016

This was a pretty good year for beating games for me. I beat:

- Arkham Asylum (replay)
- Arkham City (replay)
- Tales of Xillia (2nd character playthrough)
- Dark Souls
- Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning

Re: 2016 in Video Gaming

There was The Last Guardian, too. I didn't care much about it, but it seemed to make a few waves.

360 without hard drive?

I've been planning to buy a used Xbox 360 for a while now, but it's just come to my attention that the really low cost ones that I was looking at don't have a hard drive. They say I can still save my memory on memory cards, but a hard drive is still much the better option. What do you guys think? Sh...

Re: Final Fantasy XIII (PS3)

I don't hate this game either. Is it the best? No, but it's bad by any means either. I made it through, I'd say, three quarters of it, and eventually gave up on the Barthandelus fight on Gran Pulse. I could fight that guy for thirty minutes, barely whittle away a quarter of his health, and then he'd...

I'm thinking about getting a 360 again. Anybody got any more suggestions?

Re: Favorite Things about Video Games

Favorites: - Engaging storyline - Good voice acting - Fun combat - Creative enemies/monsters - Being challenging without being frustratingly difficult - Good soundtrack Least favorite: - Choppy cutscenes - Turn based combat (I'll tolerate it, but I won't like it!) - Long load times - Long stretches ...

Re: Things That Inspire You?

That is pretty nice to hear. As a guy with autism myself, sometimes its tempting to fall into this little ditch of depression, you know? I just have to keep reminding myself that there are people out there even worse off than me (my autism is relatively mild), so if they can do it, by God so can I!

Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning for PS3

http://art.gametdb.com/ps3/coverHQ/US/BLUS30710.jpg Sometimes when a game is overlooked, it's unfortunate. Other times, like with Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning, it's a crime. In a market where open world fantasy RPGs have become bland and formulaic, KoA breathes fresh life into the genre. You play ...
