Re: Early to Mid 90's gaming

I disagree with certain criticism of my original post. Sure there's independent games being made. But they have no money behind them. And these developers need well funded project after project to really get good. I'm sorry but playing a 2d game with a sprite here and there that I know could've been...

Early to Mid 90's gaming

I've really been missing the old days lately because I feel like things were very fair. I was too young for the first and second generations. But for me the most important and interesting time in my time following video games was from like 1992-1995. There was so much going on. And most importantly,...

Re: 2017/4/12: Game Gear: Quest for the Shaven Yak Starring Ren and Stimpy

I love seeing reviews for games from this era. It seemed like there were so many more video game developers back then and there was such a wide variety in games to choose from in 1993. And of course SEGA, which has consistently made great games over the decades, was in such a golden age back then.

Re: Best decade for television?

Yea so what if there's some good dramas these days or comedies, although personally I don't think today's comedies stack up to past decades. Not even close lol. But what about Teen Mom, My Six Hundred Pound Life, and every other garbage reality show on the tube these days. It's pathetic and changing...

Re: Top 10 Best Games You Played That the VGC didn't review (yet)...

For me too, the best games I've ever played include a lot of computer games. There are so many pick up an play games from the 80's and 90's (I quit in the late 90's when things got way too complicated) that are so memorable and exciting. A lot of those I eagerly look forward to playing again in the ...

Re: Best decade for television?

Sure, if you focus on hour long Dramas like Mad Men and Breaking Bad, etc. and I know there are a lot of them, then sure the 2000's or 2010's are the best decade ever for TV. No doubt. But what about all the other tripe that's on TV these days. How about the utter trash that you see all over MTV and...

Re: 2017/4/1: Virtual Boy: Strip Poker II

Well to be honest, I was thinking the mid 90's. Actually by just saying the 90's it could mean the 80's or the 90's. Because 80's fashion didn't really end until 1991-1992 when pop culture changed. But I'd say 1994-1995 was just an amazing time because I really liked how girls were dressing then. Ju...

Re: Best decade for television?

Gosh that's a good question. I'd love to hear input from some of the older members of the forum. I'm "only" in my mid 30's (ouch). But, I'll go with the 90's. Once upon a time MTV was awesome.

Re: Growing up with the NES

I agree. Growing up on the NES was the best console to have for being a young kid. It was so exciting. Specifically the late 80's when the game library blossomed. Those were really the good old days. Now with the NES approaching antique status it makes me realize how much more I enjoyed things back ...
