Re: Halo 5 Paraphernalia Special

I had completely forgotten about those Halo pens! In fact, in hindsight I can't even remember where they came from...?

Re: Funny article nails the frustrations with 8th gen consoles

Also, how is it the fault of Xbox or any of the new generation consoles that he can't remember his login credentials? I think that's just part of his overall point - it's supposed to be a gaming system, why should we even have to log into any accounts with credentials? I believe he's simply juxtapo...

Funny article nails the frustrations with 8th gen consoles

I know this is exactly how the Critic feels about the Xbox One and PS4, and the state of modern console gaming in general. NSFW language, but this guy really nails it with is retrospective about his Xbox One purchase and experience: Outtake: " The first thing that happens after you hook up your...

Re: 2015/8/18: Commodore 64: Bruce Lee

Follow up - now that I've beaten the game, I have to say the 'boss' at the end of the game has got to be one of the most disappointing in all of video game history. He looks cool as all get out, but he just sits at the top of the screen and spits what I assume are throwing stars down at you. All you...

Re: 2015/8/18: Commodore 64: Bruce Lee

I actually continued playing this game on and off the two weeks or so following this review and ended up beating it. High score now stands at 72,900 in case any of you want to step up!

Re: Arcanum: Of Steamworks & Magick Obscura

When you watch the opening FMV while listening to the amazing soundtrack, you know you're in for an RPG that's truly special. The setting alone is off the wall; its an open world RPG in the same style as Fallout (as a matter of fact, Tim Cain & other creators of Fallout worked on Arcanum for 3 ...

Re: Just Cause 2 - Steam

Yeah this was a pretty good game, though getting 100% will take you ages. Can't wait for Just Cause 3 to come out this year. Yeah I've given up any thoughts of completing everything 100%, the game world is just too vast and it's not always easy to figure out what you're missing. Still, I do plan to...

Re: 2015/8/1: Commodore 64: Kickman

Here's a new C64 review for you guys to chew on. I'm disappointed it hasn't aged well. I remember being fascinated with it back in the day. Did C64 games actually support paddle controllers? Not only do C64 games support the paddle controller, Commodore actually produced paddles of their own: http:...

Re: Remembering the Xbox

Let us know how things turn out! The first phase of the experiment is over! I put UnleashX on the Xbox as a dashboard and installed Coinops 7 Lite, which is essentially a MAME emulator preloaded with ~700 games from both home systems and coin-op standup games. I had to delete a few to make it fit o...

Re: Early Piracy Theory - Okay to Copy but not Disseminate

I have actually seen manuals for some C64 games (I'm sure other systems had these too) where the publisher actually tells you in the instructions to make yourself a copy of the game you just purchased, and use the copy instead of the original. I can't imagine that sort of thing happening today.
