Re: Would Mobile Phone Gaming with Real Controls be better?

We had one already. It was called the N-Gage (and the better Ngage QD). Great form factor. Pretty decent controls (given the time). Some truly great portable games no one knows existed. Online games (designed perfectly around network speeds of the time) playable anywhere in 2003! All of it delivered...

Re: No Split Screen in Halo 5

I'm always surprised that people buy games Halo just for multiplayer. I believe you have indicated before that you don't have friends who play couch co-op. Fair enough. Halo games are some of the most well balanced games, with meaningful difficulty settings, and enjoyable achievements that have eve...

Re: SNES Street Fighter 2

Then you had to get the 6 button controller which the SNES already had. The SNES had a six button controller too? I always just thought it had the dog bone with the shoulder... oh. Well yeah. If you want to call that a six button controller. It is a six-button controller. And the best ever made. Ve...

Wow, great minds seem to think alike. Or maybe we're just both hungry. :)

Re: No Split Screen in Halo 5

I've played all Halo single player and multiplayer including split screen. While personally I didn't enjoy split screen, I did enjoy every other aspect of this game. Assuming the entire package is at least as good as other entries in the franchise, is it really worth not buying the game, or even ge...

Re: No Split Screen in Halo 5

So very disappointed. Couch co-oped Halo with a friend once a week all winter and spring, and will likely do the same all fall. That's the best way to play Halo, period. There goes my main reason to ever buy an Xbox One.

Re: Nintendo NX not to compete graphics wise with PS4/XBONE

Waggle games. Thats amusing. You are right...getting Batman et al not only did not help, but invited unfavorable comparisons. Could it have been better to double down on waggle, and still keep the core Nintendo IPs? A power PC console with better motion controller and a pro controller instead of th...

Re: SNES Street Fighter 2

I guess what I meant to write was that SNES had 6 buttons on the default controller to work with. The Genesis only had 3 buttons. I forget what the work around was for that, but I remember not liking it. You had to push Start or something to give those 3 buttons dual functions or something like tha...

Re: Nintendo NX not to compete graphics wise with PS4/XBONE

A side question is, looking at the best selling Wii titles, I see the best of the motion control games. The Wii U backed away from that, so my guess is that those games sold well until 2010 or so, then peetered out. By 2012, Nintendo may have thought the bloom was off the lily. Yet remove those gam...
