Re: NFL Football viewership down

Now this whole Vegas shooting. You'd think we'd be hearing condolences to the families. I can't even imagine what they are going through. But no! We hear politics. Calls for gun control. Rumors that he's ANTIFA... Without going into too much politics, I just want to concur with this post. Within mo...

Re: NFL Football viewership down

Why the heck is the anthem even in sports to begin with? It's sports, not a musical! Better not come to a game in Newfoundland. If an American team is in town, we have to play 3 anthems (American, Canadian, and Ode to Newfoundland). For anyone annoyed with the NFL, you could just watch hockey. No s...

Re: A question on which was harder to program for the PS3, or the Nintendo Wii U?

Difficulty in programming was a contributing factor (especially in getting the system off to a bad start), but it was actually the least of the system's problems. The Wii U lacked third-party support because it just wasn't rewarding to develop for. The weak performance meant that games couldn't be ...

Re: 2017/9/14: Playstation 4: Madden NFL 18

Not much of a sports fan, but I must say that Madden screencap is impressive; it looks like a photo at 1st glance. The Canadian Football game; is it really that blurry? More important than the graphics, is it fun to play? Not everyone $30 million for realistic modeling, so I can forgive bad graphic...

Re: 2017/9/14: Playstation 4: Madden NFL 18

Be fair. That's at least early PS2 quality. Look at all that texture smoothing and the excellent frame rate. Nobody's made out of visible triangles. Hey, I'm being pretty fair, as I'm going to buy it soon anyway. :) 3 down football is still 3 down football, regardless of graphics or team names. I'm...

Re: 2017/9/14: Playstation 4: Madden NFL 18

No criticism of this game can be made until you view the alternative I have to deal with: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lVwfjxR5t5M No, those are not real teams (but they are based on real teams, cutting right up against trademark). No, those are not real players names. No, this is not PS1, it is ...

And let me guess, you now need both a new TV and controller?

Literally LOL.

That's unforgivable in a football game. Clock management is a huge deal in the sport. This is like having a baseball game suddenly only give you two outs to use in the bottom of the 9th or something. Unacceptable.

Stay safe hurricane area

To anyone on here from Florida, Houston, or any of the other areas impacted by the hurricanes, hope you all stay safe. I had a basement flooded by hurricane Igor a few years ago (and an extended power outage, and the highway washed away in most directions, including in three places back up to where ...

Re: You should play 7800 HSC (or others)

Anyway, anyone who is interested in losing to Oyamafamily and his unstoppable train of high score destruction can find it over here. I've been playing in the current season of the 2600 HSC, so I already know what that feels like. It is insane how good he is at virtually every single game ever made....

You should play 7800 HSC (or others)

Just a plug to point out that you should play in the 7800 High Score Club at Atariage, where it'd be cool to see some other VGC folks. It's just starting up again, and you can join really easily. I mean, in the first place, if you're on this forum here and don't have an Atariage profile too, you're ...
