Re: 2017/4/18: Playstation 4: Pac-Man Championship Edition 2

I definitely think this one is a disappointment overall, but Championship Edition DX on PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Arcade is a much better executed game. This one borrows the same basic formula as DX but tries to take an "everything but the kitchen sink" approach to it and winds up ...

Re: Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild (Switch)

The numbers represent how much attack power each weapon has. The less than/greater than symbol is used when comparing the power of a weapon you have equipped to another one.

Re: Scare Me!

Resident Evil 4 isn't all that scary aside from a couple moments here and there (not sure why it has the Terrifying icon on this site, honestly), but Resident Evil 7 is quite chilling in its first few hours. Once you get more weapons and start to understand the ins and outs of the game better, the s...

Re: Got a Nintendo Switch!

The new crafting element concerns me. I'm picking up a million different ingredients and I'm worried how complicated it's going to get. Likewise the climbing is okay until you fall to your death for no apparent reason. As someone who dislikes overly complicated crafting systems, I found the one in ...

Re: Early to Mid 90's gaming

Wow, there is a ton of misplaced cynicism in the original post in this thread. "There was computers, arcades, SNES. Genesis, 32x, Sega CD, 3do, Turbographx, Jaguar, Neo Geo. Nowadays, if you don't like the PS4, you're screwed. Because the XBone is the same system." Firstly, PC gaming still...

Re: R.I.P. NES Classic (Thanks, Nintendo!)

Some say Nintendo is using artificial scarcity as a tactic to drum up consumer interest, but this is just an insanely boneheaded move when you take into account that the Switch currently has no Virtual Console (the NeoGeo games don't count). Also, what the hell is it with Nintendo and only releasing...

Re: Got a Nintendo Switch!

Definitely, definitely get Zelda if you're willing to shell out for two versions of the game. You HAVE reviewed multiple versions of games in the past, so it might be nice to compare them. I think Binding of Isaac is great no matter which version you get, but it strikes me as a game you'd like less ...

Re: Resident Evil 7 (PS4)

You'll have to fill me in on what P. T. is. Paper toilet? The demo (it stands for Playable Teaser) for the now-cancelled game Silent Hills. Sadly, you can't play it anymore unless you already downloaded it prior to it getting taken down and you didn't delete it off your PS4. On the subject to RE7, ...

Re: LEGO City Undercover Nintendo Switch port requires 13GB install/requires the internet to start!

It's Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 5 all over again. That game was savaged for basically doing the same thing as this one, so hopefully that will be the case here as well.

Re: Hardest Donkey Kong Country Levels?

Also, I meant to ask: how are the Wii and Wii U sequels? Both are among the best platformers for their respective systems. They're quite challenging in their own right and both of them have a ton of minecart sequences which manage to be surprisingly thrilling. Worth noting is that Donkey Kong Count...
