Anyone hyped for Samus Returns

Super metroid is my favorite game of all time, and my interest in it has been revitalized lately by how popular it remains in Speedrunning circles (world records, multiple catagories, tournaments, etc). I tune in to these weekly on Twitch and they are always a blast. Just in time, Nintendo announced...

Re: Nintendo 2ds xl

Sweet. I'm waiting to pick up Samus Returns first. And if I dig that game and decide it's something I want to invest a lot of time in, I'll grab the XL. If not, I'll just stick with the 2DS.

Re: I have a bad feeling about the future of the Virtual Console

It's an interesting thought, particularly paired with the Classic consoles, but it would only make sense if Nintendo kept the Classic consoles in production full time (as a replacement for the VC). Those Classic consoles are so limited, it's not really a replacement. Nintendo has something up their ...

Re: Cooking?

I'm sure there's a George foreman cookbook out there.

Re: Cooking?

We cook a lot--tacos, spaghetti, smoked sausage, burgers, etc. like most people I guess. We do breakfast for supper once a week, often pancakes, but lately I've been making omelets or just a mixture of scrambled eggs, breakfast sausage, bell peppers and cheese. Make a bunch and eat off it for a coup...

Re: Sonic Mania on physical media?

I'd say one target audience is the younger gamers who'd like to see what the Sonic fuss is all about. They hear how awesome it supposedly is, but all they know there hasn't been a good Sonic game in almost 20 years. Sonic doesn't hardly have any credibility in today's market....maybe not enough for ...

Re: Sonic Mania on physical media?

Ate most of y'all older gamers (I am--mid 30s)? I assume so because of the fondness for retro games.

Anyway, my brother is a younger gamer and could not care less about the lack of a physical game. And I'm guessing that he is closer to the target audience than the crowd here.

Any boss that has the "invulnerable for 30 seconds, open to attacks for 5 seconds" patterns. Ugh.

Re: First album, artist, or group that rocked your world

Incubus--make yourself drew me in, but morning view made me a super fan. Which one of those albums had the song "Drive" on it? They played the video for that one a lot on much music back in the day. I didn't like it at first, but whenever I hear the song played on the radio these days, I ...
