Momentum and brand loyalty. Folks will buy a new Sony console because it's a new Sony console.

Re: I beat NES "Ninja Gaiden III" today

I am seriously in awe. I also consider myself a bit of a Gaiden junky who listens to techno remixes of NG songs in my car while I drive to work. But I despise the third one because of what I consider to be insulting difficulty. "Pissed me off at the company" difficulty. "I demand an ...

I beat NES "Ninja Gaiden III" today

On a real NES, no cheats. I'm a Ninja Gaiden die-hard who wanted to know the meaning of pain. I've finally beaten all three games. And if the Critic thinks that acts 2 and 3 are too hard, act 7 is a living nightmare that makes those look like the first level of Super Mario. Not only are there a lot ...

Re: 2015/11/5: Atari 2600: Bridge, Xevious (Fixed)

Looking forward to the Kung Fu Master review to finish off the Activision titles - it's a punishing game that ...

But I thought that gamers were all teenage boys and immature men.

Re: Video game retailers you used to visit and the memories you have of them

BRE Software in Fresno, CA. was the used game store that I went to in the early 90's. They were very popular. They even put advertisements in magazines.

My dad would often rent me Genesis games from BRE for $1 on the way home from work. I got to try a lot of different games that way.

Re: Twinkle Tale - Sega Genesis

Haha, the Twinkle Tale footage immediately reminded me of Elemental Master and that was one of the recommended shooters.

But this looks even better than that game which I like a lot.
