Re: Pitfall: The Mayan Adventure (32X)

I had the SNES port back in the day and didn't like it much.

It's a shame that they could never do anything great with the Pitfall license beyond the Atari 2600.

Re: Oil's Well (Colecovision)

I remember playing this on my Atari computer back in the day, and thinking it was pretty good. At first this game looks like a Pac-Man clone - and an awkward one at that. You're little "eater" is attached to the top of the screen by a line, moving through an underground maze chomping whit...

Re: Sega making some moves. Subscription service?

This just looks like a Sega making a quick buck on garbage designed to give non-gamers who wouldn't notice the difference a few minutes of nostalgia. Forget about it.

Rookie1 wrote:3DO was a cool system, I had one and just sold it with all the games. I never played it. 99% of the games you can get for the PC, and they are much better quality. So its really not worth it I guess.

The Road Rash port is supposed to be the system's killer app.

Re: Can the Nintendo Switch emulate the 3DO Interactive Multiplayer hardware?

I ask because both the Nintendo Switch and 3DO Interactive Multiplayer use ARM CPU architecture which = easy Nintendo Switch Virtual Console emulation, but the question is who owns the 3DO console rights after the 3DO company went out of business in 2003? Can it happen, or will it never happen, tho...

Re: Simcity SNES.

Simcity for the SNES (1991) is a genuine classic. I believe the most similar game to this he has reviewed is Jurassic Park: Operation Genesis Xbox (2003) which he gave a B-. Simcity is the genesis of this type of game and Nintendo (developed and published) nailed this Maxis classic on it's first at...

Re: What are the most overrated and underrated consoles???

One way to determine overrated and underrated consoles is the market value of their re-releases. While I would love to see a re-released Saturn or even Virtual Boy, we can only see the early systems. Underrated: NES . How anyone can say the NES is overrated after the NES Classic Mini creating a mar...

Re: 2017/7/5: Genesis: Air Diver, High Seas Havoc

Nice reviews..never heard of High Seas Havoc and it looks interesting. The price seems to vary wildly..like $20-$30 for loose copies, while hitting as high as $100 for a nice complete copy. As for Air Diver... I notice that these old 16-bit and earlier in-cockpit flight games, like Air Diver and F-...

Re: What are the most overrated and underrated consoles???

Overrated: PS1 Not a fan of the controls, the graphics look TERRIBLE compared to the N64 or Saturn. Peeps whine about the N64s "vaseline look", but compared to the utter graininess of the PlayStation, it's a godsend. The thing itself is rather boring looking, and the load times are garbag...

Re: Games that are so bad they're awesome?

Most of the games listed (FMV games, Resident Evil, etc.) sound like they're good in spite of their flaws, not because of their flaws. :| Are there any games anyone enjoys playing because their flaws are somehow entertaining? I've seen "Plumbers Don't Wear Ties" listed, but does anyone en...
